- Q:I can't find a retail store that carries sleeper sofa mattresses to save my life. I've found several places online that sell them... but if I don't like them I'm stuck. No one lets you return them. I've done my research and I think I want to go with either a memory foam sofa bed mattress or latex sofa bed mattress. Does anybody have any suggestions as to where I should go?

- Get a paper grocery bag, your iron, and a butter knife. Put the bag over the wax and iron over it to melt it. Some will go into the bag and while its warm, scrape a bit with the butter knife. Repeat till its gone.
- Q:I brought home a new microsuede sofa, and didn't even think about the static problem, until my 3-year old daughter sat down on it. (Her baby fine hair, looked like she had a finger in an electrical socket!) She's been crying since, because she's been shocking herself, and I'm wondering what would be the best thing to do. I am thinking Static Guard, but then I wonder if those first couple globs that drip from the first spray, might fall onto the sofa and stain it. - You have a static problem due to dry heat. If you add water into the air with a humidifier, the static problem will go away. You are right to think about using Static Guard. It will work wonders on the static electricity problem you are experiencing. If you shake the can well and begin spraying from a distance (24), the mist will cover the ara nicely. I would not use dryer sheets on the microsuede sofa.

- I have five cats, and my house doesn't smell at all. I let all of my cats outside, so they usually go to the bathroom in my backyard. My litter boxes are rarely used. If you do not want to let your cat outside at all, just clean the litter box regularly. I used to have to clean my kitten's box about five times a day. I also used air fresheners a lot. My cats still scratch the furniture. I have scratching posts, but they rarely use them. You can get your cat declawed, but this is NOT a good idea if you are going to let your cat outside. My friend put plastic caps on her cat's claws to prevent the cat from scratching anything. They are removable, so you can still let the cat outside if you want to. You can get these caps at pet stores. If you are worried about the cat food attracting more vermin, then do not leave it out for the cat all the time. Only feed your cat at designated mealtimes. This will also prevent the cat from overeating as well.
