- I think it depends on the child. My daughter made the switch around 20 months because her crib was recalled and I didn't want to spend the money to get a new one. Sometimes I can hear her in her room playing after I've put her to bed but usually after 20 minutes or so she's crawled back into bed and fallen asleep. I think 20 months is a bit on the early side for the switch but it just depends on the child's personality and maturity level.

- My advice is to limit the amount of liquids the little girl has before bed time. My nephew had a sever problem with wetting the bed. He is 4. We ended up having to put him back in pull-ups ( yea it was a headache ) because he would wet the bed twice a night and the washer never got a break. We also cut his liquids off around 530. He goes to bed at 8. Make sure that your cousin goes to the potty before she gets in bed. Give that a try, hope it works for you!
