- Q:i have a longboard skateboard and also a pair of hockey rollerblades and i just bought 2 8-packs of bones swiss ceramic bearings and i was wondering if i needed all of them just for my rollerblades or will there be enough for both the board and the blades.
- on the splendid rollerblade there would desire to be a brake if no longer i think of is replaceable.in case you go with for to end (with the brake) in simple terms pull up the heel (with brake on it). If there isnt than sure you additionally could make very almost a turn to end. P.S- I been rollerblading for 8 yrs- 3 year playing curler hockey- 2d year substitute from skater to goalie.
- Q:When u need wheel bearings will your tire come off?
- Yes it can. Steve is completely wrong. I had this happen to me today. I started noticing smoke coming from the wheel bearing and then it started getting loud and it felt like something was breaking off in the wheel area. The abs light came on and I drove it around the block and then the wheel just popped off. It was crazy. Never thought I'd have something like that happen to me. I was lucky that I wasn't going fast when it happened.
- Q:im getting a evo longboard and i have a stella a form and i want to know if i have to clean my bearings and when should i do it and where do i get them
- You should clean your bearings about every month or couple months, or after you have ridden in the sand or water. When you clean you bearings you take off the rubber/metal seal on the bearing. You then place them in Acetone or High % Rubbing Alcohol and shake them around to loosen the dirt. After, you quickly dry them with paper or a towel. Once they are completely dry, you lube them with Bones Lube, White Lithium Grease, or Sewing Machine oil. DO NOT USE WD-40! Then put the rubber seals back on and you are done. Check out tutorials on youtube to get a better understanding.
- Q:Title says it all
- lonboarding is very gay and you should just throw the bearings away.
- Q:I need to upgrade my wheels and probably bearings for my roller blades they are a 64mm wheel on right now and i know NOTHING about wheels and bearings, like do I have to stick with the same size wheel, can I use current bearings on there etc... I know I would like a nice smooth ride and preferably a gel type wheel... I am on a budget so I know going with a little lower grade bearing and a better wheel will optimize performance on a budget. I am in Canada so an international or Canadian seller is a must and I would like to have a name or model number so I know what to look up specifically if possible please and thank you!

- Q:I want pro bearings that would be kinda cheap and i found these
- Kyle Take off the wheel Look at the bearing, there should be a 4 digit number like 6008 That's your bearing size If there's no number you have to measure the outside and inside diameter with a vernier caliper and plug the size into google to get which bearings you need. But probably standard skateboard bearings most likely.
- Q:Anyone know the range at what I'm looking at for completely full ceramic bearings for a longboard?
- Assuming you are looking for not only ceramic balls, but inner and outer races as well. These bearings will run around $240 a set. Most bearings that called ceramic only use ceramic balls, but the races are still steel. Some cheaper 'ceramic' bearings only use a ceramic coating on the balls. You might want to think about stainless steel bearings. They are very resistant to corrosion and cost much less than full ceramic bearings, and only a little more than regular steel. SS Bearings with ceramic balls cost about double that of all SS bearings.
- Q:I was driving my 98 civic ex automatic around a corner, hit an icy patch and slid up on to the curb. (impact was on the passenger front tire) After the curb incident my left front end bounced up and down and when I would speed up the wheel started to shake back and forth.I drove home slowly and parked it and I am unsure wheat to do. The tire is not flat and it looks like two of the 4-lugs are sticking out further than the other two(?)...Does this sound like a case of broken ball bearings??If so, are they expensive/hard to fix??And, how long will this take at a shop??
- i think you meant a rod or something, ask a mechanic for the price, like 2 days to a week
- Q:I own a pair of Mission Axiom A.3 roller hockey blades and it says on their website that all the wheels are MISSION CSX indoor/outdoor 78A but when i look at the wheels on the skates, they say they are all different sizes, unfortunately i am not at home so i can not tell you which sizes they are.The mission website also says that the bearings are MISSION ABEC 5 but i don't see any websites that sell those bearings so what other kind is the best and fastest kinds of bearings to buy?I just started getting into roller blading/roller hockey im not really playing roller hockey but i go skating a lot and like to go really fast so i don't really know a whole lot about skates but would like to learn what kind of wheels/bearings i should buy, thanks for any help.

- Q:This is a mid-1970's Schwinn. Obviously, if there is grit or dirt or rust I will clean them. My instinct is to use 3 in 1 oil if I must, then repack everything in good old reliable bicycle grease. But if there is just old grease without anything gritty, do I even need to clean the bearings etc., and if so, what cleaning agent do I use?
- To clean bearings of grease you want to use a solvent. Several are available. Find one of these; mineral spirits, kerosene, or brake wash (aerosol). Use a parts cleaning brush and don't drop a bearing. Once they hit the floor they run and hide. Hard little critters to find, too. I use a magnet to pull the bearings out unless the old grease is too thick. The balls themselves can be put in a jar or tin with the solvent and soaked. Clean the race with the brush. I use an old metal coffee can to place the hub over and dip the brush in the can. It runs back inside to contain the mess. If you have compressed air you can blow them dry. If not you can force a piece of clean rag through the hub to dry. Inspect the clean race for pitting. (If there is pitting the race needs replaced and in most instances that will require a new hub.) Press the new grease in the race with your finger and place the balls one by one into the grease pressing them in. The new grease will hold the bearings from falling out. Don't worry if you think you are using too much grease, the excess will ooze out as you install the axle and you can wipe it off. Don't over tighten the axle nuts. There is a fine touch between play and over tight. With new grease I tighten them them to space the balls properly, then back off and tighten them for the proper feel.
