- I would recommend that you purchase Natures Miracle from your local pet store, saturate the spot and let it dry on its own. You will notice that the smell will be strong and then you will not smell it again, this will happen for a short time. The reason for this is the product works enzymatically so when you smell odor, the product is working the way it should be. You may have to use the product more than one time, but it really does do the trick. Note: If your cat is urinating on the sofa, he may be trying to tell you that he is not feeling well, you may want to get him checked out medically to be sure all is okay.
