Q:My contractor table saw has 2hp motor first starts up caused my lights in my basement to dim and as it running seems like it has some shaking in it, I can feel in the saw table, also the basement light seems to flickering or diming out the whole time when saw is in used. Any idea what is the cause guys. I could use some advice here. By the way this motor is running on 110 volts 60 hertz.
The lights dim because the saw is pulling too many amps for the circuit it is on. To fix that problem, install a dedicated circuit (20 amp, 12 gage wire) for the saw. The vibration is most often because the base and table of the saw are not heavy enough or the motor is not attached tightly or is mis aligned. This is why good quality contractor saws always have big cast iron tables. This is pretty much the old saying of you get what you pay for. You may be able to reduce vibration if you can figure out a way to attach concrete blocks to the bottom of the table. ( By hanging them from rope wire etc.) Anything to add substantial weight. And check the alignment of the motor and the saw arbor and the motor to the arbor.
Q:whether machinery breakdown insurance excludes design defects defective workmanship?
I would think it would have an exclusion for that, so you would have to pursue the manufacturer.
Q:A few years back I remembered seeing something on an ad on tv describing like a box you put over loud machinery like an air compressor so it will become quiter and even silence it. I don't know the name but from what I remember it was a white looking box very large.
foam insulation board, make your own pretty cheap.
Q:Okay, so I'm looking through my bio textbook (not ap) and I come across this graphic about the HIV virus. There's a strip of text that talks about how the virus replicates itself:HIV is equipped with the enzyme reverse transcriptase.........Using the cell's **gene translation machinery**, this DNA then directs the production of thousands of viruses. The thing inside the **s . What is it? Cells don't have machinery! Why does the book call it translation machinery?
It dopes your bodies Gene's into that Genes the Virus needs to survive and spread. All DNA has the capability of changing and is all Pre-Coded. You can understand some of the work by listening to Rhawn Joseph and the Origin of life and Gene selection
Q:Hi everyone, Im looking for a company which sells or produces machinery which can be purcahsed in order to produce Cd and DVD's. It would be best if they are Japanies comapnies but any info would be appriciated...THANX!
I'm certain if you find the commercial (rather than consumer) sections of the major electronics manufacturers, the same ones that make the players, you will find product offerings. It would not be entirely different companies making the commercial end machines.
Q:What were two results of the use machinery? Answer it!?
Answer it! I don't know why anyone would want to answer after that. Commanding an answer like that makes you look like a jerk. It's an ugly demand. And it was totally unnecessary.
Q:What about mechanical engineering at North Point? Graduate, good job?
Mechanical specialty is a general major, employment should not be a problem, but the mechanical line is different, the gap is large, so the salary is also very different.
Q:why is it important to reduce friction during the operation of machinery?
Energy is required to overcome friction. Friction causes premature wear of machinery. Friction produces heat which may very well be an undesirable side effect in as far as the machinery or the product of machinery goes.
