Q:i have a giant boulder bike with a 80cc 2-stroke enging on it. i myself weight 230lbs and i ride around 200km a day at 40-50kph. i have a kevlar tire i got at walmart on the back and a slime tube i also got at walmart. my front tire has 3000+km on it and its fine but my last tire was from a bike in my backyard and it only lasted 150km. so how long should i expect to have this new tire last? it was $10 for the tire and $10 for the tube so its not cheap. i ride 100km into the country at 3 am and i dont have a cell phone and there are no houses along these desalite roads so i cant be walking home. what is the average lifespan of a tire on a mountain bike. thanks
It depends on how the motor is driving the rear wheel. Most engines use a friction wheel, which will reduce the tread life of the tire. When the tire gets thin, it punctures much more readily. If the tire had a chain drive to the rear wheel, the tire life would be the same as a pedal powered bicycle, about 2,000 miles. $10.00 is pretty inexpensive for a bicycle tire. Get a tire without the knobby tread.
Q:Might be a stupid question but im just trying to find out what my next set of tires will be and im looking at off road tires between 33 and 35,im currently running 33s.Im pretty sure I know what it is,but instead of making my self look like a jackass when im wrong I figured I would ask.
A radial tire is a tire where the inner chords within the rubber of the tire run straight across from bead to bead. You could have different types of other tires as well, like Bias Ply or Bias Belted.
Q:i have 2 worn out tires in the front. should i just rotate them with the ones in the back (not worn out)? or just get new tires anyways?what are good tires that wont ware out fast for my matrixi think i need 16 in tires
it could be that you have a leak in the brake system. check the master cylinder to see if there is an brake fluid running down the brake power booster from below the master cylinder. check to see if there are any leaking brake lines. also pull the rear wheels to see if a rear wheel cylinder is leaking. check the rubber hoses the go from the metal brake lines to the calipers on the front wheels
Q:When a self-sealing inner tire tube is punctured (up to 1/8), it is said to reseal itself. But does it reseal the puncture for good or does it just give me enough time to get to a place where I can change / patch the inner tube? Also, does using tire liners affect the tires in any way at all (aside from keeping me from having flat tires)? I have a mountain bike but I use it only on paved trails.
Self-Sealing inner tubes are only meant to go for a short period of time after a deep puncture. Not to say you should stop riding, however before you set out on your next slopes, you should get them changed. Have you rode your bike with tire liners.? I have never used them, however, I have heard some random complaints. try them out before you commit to them on a long ride.
Q:Tire says 80psi, door plate says 40 psi, thats a huge difference.
I have found out the hard way, alot of times it's best to go with what is on the tire. The new tires that I have on my Blazer say 45psi and my door don't say anything, but if they go under 40psi it don't drive very well mainly around corners and cerves on the highway. Just because the door will say one thing and tire will say some thing don't mean it's the best for the tire, running a tire under could ruin a good tire.
Q:So I have very special tires for my jeep. Im super bad at researching online, so will someone help me find the cheapest tires i can get? I live in denver co and my tire size is 325 60 15. Someone PLEASE help me :(

Q:i need to change all 4 tires.what are the best tires?.summer tires? all season?i want really good tires so even if i spend alittle bit more they last longer and performance is good.also pls post any deals on the tirestires are the 19.i dont know what size in the front and back.but they are different tho.i think 245/45/19 and the other one im not sureThanks
Well, 4 season tires would last a bit longer summer tires would handle a bit better since their rubber is a bit softer. Michelin and Pirelli are usually is the brand to go for, they're expensive but are high quality tires here a link www.OKorder.ca/itm/2-MICHELIN-245-45-19-Pilot-PRIMACY-NO-PATCHES-14009-/300590344226?ptMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessorieshashitem45fc94a822
Q:I just bought a new Honda Pilot in February. The front left tire became flat yesterday out of nowheremy question is since the car is new and only has 5,000 miles.should I have to pay for the new tire???
I would take the tire to a neutral repair center, notice not to the small corner repair shop. Ask them to inspect the tire, I've never seen a tire just go flat out of nowhere. If you know you didn't hit, curb or run over anything then ask them to check stem valve, rim leaks or for broken belts. Broken belts are seldom seen when dealing with new tires. Also I don't believe a belt really would result in a new tire flat, more possible with high mileage older tires. If you get the a reason (other than you're own idea why) get it in writing and make sure you get the receipt for the cost of their services. Take all this back to the dealer, be ready to compromise with them. This will be needed if one of the reasons for the flat was, looks like you picked something up and it was spit out or something similar. They will stand on the fact you can't prove a bad new tire, but you can always argue with new tires are good tread to hit something that hard would be some thing obviously noticed. As I always say notes, keep notes of who you spoke with by phone or face to face. Write them if needed and never give your original receipts to anyone, make copies at your own cost.
Q:Online shopping car tires how to identify good or bad
And try not to buy cheap tires that they think are good tires. Some businesses will sell those cut tires or refurbished tires, so do not buy every time when the tire where to say where the child is cheaper, in fact, many customers do not know in fact cheap people have cheap reasons. So you can not always lose money, would rather spend some time to buy a regular tire to use. That would be very practical.
Q:car tyres
A shorter tire drops top speed but helps acceleration. A wider tire helps cornering in dry weather, but a thin tire is better for snow and sand because it cuts through the material instead of driving over it. Changing tire height is similar to changing gear ratios, taller tires take less rpm to achieve a given speed so gas mileage can go up, but its similar to having a tall gear ratio which can kill take off acceleration. Low profile tires help cornering because the tire wall is shorter and stiffer so they don't flex during cornering.
