Product Description:
1. Description
Vertical barrel pumps are multistage, radically split with an outer casing. Fist stage impeller is generally suction impeller, the axially forces are balanced by a thrust ball bearing. Balancing the drum structure can be accomplished when the differential pressure is large. The outer casing only bears the suction pressure, the length of the outer casing and the pump installation depth depends on NPSHr performance requests. If the pump is installed on a tank or pipeline, the outer casing is not necessary.
Light oil lubricated, it has an independent internal recycle automatic lubrication system. Hydraulic dynamic bearing is in the suction end of the pump. Suction and discharge is above the installation flange.

- Q:We just replaced the motor on our water pump that burnt out but we are still getting no water pressure. My father in law did a lot of test stuff on it he thinks it's the foot valve. Well I've been trying to call every where get quotes but NOT 1 of the places I called is answering their phone for some reason. So how much dose it usually run to have someone come fix your foot valve so I have an idea to tell my husband?
- a foot valve is not that hard to change, i put mine 3 foot down from the top, the pump is on the bottom [submerged] if your s is out of the water , , check the air pressure in the air tank, also
- Q:When I turn on my pump for the pool water-fountain it will run for 30 seconds or 4 minutes or anywhere in between then it just shuts off. - If you mean an air pump, No. The air pump should be out of the water preferably above the fish tank, but below the fish tank is fine as long as you have a check valve connected to the airline tubing, which prevents water from entering and damaging the air pump.

- Rio pumps are inexpensive and are very very durable. I highly reccomend them. I keep my sump level fairly low so that when i see bubbles in the display tank cause the pump is sucking a little air, i remember to add top off water. My pump sucks air about once every other week prolly for a few hrs at a time, until i get home from work and its still going strong! (I know this isnt the best way to do it, but if i dont run it low enough for it to suck air i totally forget to add top off water). I havent had to replace the pump yet. I also replaced my outdoor garden fountain pump with a rio. It sucks up leaves and junk all the time with no problems (except when the leaves cover where it sucks the water but thats not the pumps fault lol)

- There are several possibilities as to why you have no water pressure. The pump could have lost it's prime, there could be a crack or loose connection between the well pipe and the pump, resulting in pumping air instead of water, the jet in the pump could have been plugged by a flake of rust broken off the inside of the pump housing, or, if you have a fairly old system, like mine, your air volume control, (a little round silver object screwed into the side of the resevoir tank), could be bad. Did this just happen all of a sudden, are you trying to open up a cottage for the summer that's been shut down all winter, was it pumping recently??? More info would be helpful.
