I'm italian and all the informations written by the boy are right Very good good luck for your homework!
Q:I‘m thinking of studying abroad there, but I‘ve never heard of it, and can‘t really find much about it. Anyone know anything relating to life in the town, etc. I really need some input please, thanks!!
Paderno del Grappa is a pretty small town near Bassano del Grappa and Asolo. The area is very nice - close to the Dolomite mountains. Treviso is an interesting town, as is Bassano del Grappa. I haven't actually stopped in Paderno del Grappa though. With about 2000 people, it will be pretty quiet most of the time. If you like treking and white water rafting, this would be a good area to be based in. Your best bet would be to get in touch with someone who has participated in the program from your campus. If there's no one there, you might try contacting Kansas or Oregon Universities since they both participate in the program. If you're there in September, it's worth going to Marostica for this event: www.marosticascacchi.it/a_2_EN_9_.
Q:In what conditions are necessary for karst formation?
Actually, it's very simple. Karst (karst topography) is just a landscape created by mildly acidic, but otherwise ordinary groundwater dissolving soluble sedimentary rock (usually carbonate rock) such as limestone or dolomite. The carbonic acid that causes these features is formed as rain passes through the atmosphere picking up CO2, which dissolves in the water. Once the rain reaches the ground, it may pass through soil that may provide further CO2 to form a weak carbonic acid solution: H2O + CO2 → H2CO3 (the acid). Recent studies of sulfates, in karst waters, suggests sulfuric acid and hydrosulfuric acid may also play an important role in karst formation. This mildly acidic water begins to dissolve the surface along with any fractures or bedding planes in the limestone bedrock. Over time, these fractures enlarge as the bedrock continues to dissolve. Openings in the rock increase in size, and an underground drainage system begins to develop, allowing more water to pass through the area, and accelerating the formation of underground karst features. Somewhat less common than this limestone karst is gypsum karst, where the solubility of the mineral gypsum provides many similar structures to the dissolution and redeposition of calcium carbonate. The eventual topography that we see can be anywhere from absolutely nothing (all of the rock dissolved away) to huge spires and extensive cave systems.
Q:I have two dicth cutting samples of loose sands containing a lot of discrete calcite rhombs (occasionally broken). I am wondering if the cacite could be detrital or authigenic and if it could have any effect on the reservoir quality (especially, porosity and permeability) of the sand. What do you say?
First of all have you tested the 'rhomb' if it is true calcite or dolomite? I am curios because there is not much description given on the loose sands. Calcite tends to be 'broken-up' or erroded faster than silicate, if the clacite minerals originated from same sediment source as the sand (which I assume loose quartz), this is very unlikely if the quartz shows rounded and good sorted grained, because it has undergone alot of erosion and modification during sediment transportation. Unless the calcite you've found are from different depths due to improper depth lag correction (I assume your ditch cuttings are from well drilling). However, there is also a possibility for the calcite to formed as mineral inclusions in fractures and veins within a possibly quartzite unit? In the case of mineral inclusion of fractures/veins, it could be either calcite or dolomite (pls do check) and of course poro perm will be effected, how much? You need to do some petrography work if you have the core, to see minerals formation and diagenesis in the fractures how much pore spaces and pore necks left in the formation. Calcite and dolomite behave differently to weathering and degenesis, hence controls the poro perm quality of the rocks.
Q:I‘m doing a project on Ireland and I need to know WHERE are Ireland‘s natural resources. I know what they are, but I need to know where they are located, maps would be great or links to websites :)
Natural gas, peat, copper, lead, zinc, silver, barite, gypsum, limestone, dolomite -from cat
Q:I have looked all over my geo book and on line and cant find out how groundwater erodes bedrock and the result of this erosive power so if any one can help thank you
your brake lever could be set too tight, that would continuously add pressure, or ur cyclinder might be messed
Q:Hello. I have spent forever trying to figure out how much to feed my horses. My pony is far too overweight and my horse, a little under (was when we bought him). I‘ve read books and all sorts to figure it all out, but I don‘t have the facilities to choose how much grass my horses graze on, and what type. They‘re just in a paddock agisting with other horses with a reasonable amount of grass. This is what I‘m feeding them each, and what with.30g Dolomite, 15g Rosehip Granules, 15g Seaweed Meal, 30g Garlic Granules, 3/4 cup Black Sunflower Seeds, 60mL Apple Cider Vinegar. /// 13.2hh Welsh (Section B) 11yo mare (490.2kg) gets 800g Mixed Chaff (Lucerne + Wheaten). /// 15.2hh Standardbred 9yo gelding (659.6kg) gets 1100g Mixed Chaff (Lucerne + Wheaten). I feed and ride (for about an hour) every time I see them, once every two or three days. Could somebody please advise me the correct amount to be feeding my horses. Thankyou so much!
Your horses should be getting 1/2 lb of feed per 100 lbs of body weight. Do not follow the coffee can measurements- different types of feed weigh different. So your half a coffee can of one feed, may not weigh as much as your equines should be getting. You should go to your local feed store and get a scale and then measure your feed out so you know your horse is getting the right amount. NEVER feed more than 5 lbs per feeding. And I'd recommend trying a complete feed such as strategy or safe choice. Also pick a high quality horse hay- such as coastal or an alfalfa hay. My horses get one flake of each at morning and night time feedings. Some of my horses will get free choice hay. You should also keep a salt and mineral block with your horses next to a fresh supply of water. Also put loose salt in a bin available to your horses. Salt blocks were designed for cows and a horse will stop licking even if they didn't have enough because their tongues hurt.
Q:include flex blade pattern and if you like to mix blades and shafts from different brands and add why.
Ceramic because food falls into the coil and can sometimes smell bad. And they're easier to clean when they're ceramic.
Q:I‘m looking at top of the line sticks right now. The highest I‘d pay is $230. I‘ve narrowed it down to the Warrior Widow, Reebok 11k, Easton s19, or the CCM Crazy Light. I was also thinking of getting the newer Reebok a.i.9, or a Bauer totalone. And if I could find an Easton Stealth RS for around 200. But my first 4 are my top choices. I look for a bigger curve so with ccm and warrior I have the crazyovi and the Kremlin. Also if its one the other ones I would like to know what the curve that is most similar to warriors kremlin curve is because that‘s what i use now on my dolomite spyne.
Make sure it's your size, sir
