FAQ:
Q1: Are electronics cheap in Okorder.com?
A: Of course. They are very cheap. The factories provide the goods. One-stop sourcing.
Q2: Why are electronics so cheap in ok order?
A: On ok order they are the lowest price. Because it is a wholesale website and factory provide goods.
Q3: Do all electronics have silicon in them?
A: No but most modern ones do. Older electronics that don't require micro chips don't have to have silicon at all, and their mother boards are made from copper. Silicon is used in micro chips as a semi-conductor in modern electronics but some other semi-metals, like gallium and germanium can also be used. Silicon is just the most common because it is so plentiful.

Q:I was interested in a card reader for my android. I would like one for a yard sale, craigslist posted ads, payment from friends or family, however it appears that the card readers are only for business owners in which I am not. Just a regular person trying to make quick cash here and there. Could i be misinterpreting the information on these sites? Are there any card readers that you can use personally with no business relations?
people in yard sales know to bring cash,,, they won't want to hand a credit card. friends and family paying you money?
Q:I really want the new card reader from PayPal, but I do not feel comfortable giving up my full social security number. Does anyone know a way around this?
No dice. You must provide your SSN. As a card processor, the merchant may have to issue you a 1099-K at the end of the year to tell the IRS how much income you had each month. The only alternative is for the processor to withhold 28% of each payment.
Q:I have a e machines model EL1200. it has got a micro SD port on the front. when i put the card in from my camera (which i then have to put the small sd card into the big adaptor than i have to put them in the computer) nothing works? it does not do anything.
Your eMachines is rather old In it's techspecs, it's stated that it only supports SD cards, not SDHC or SDXC, which I'm afraid you're using. Try to find a plain SD card, if you can and only use that one for working with your PC.
Q:I volunteer for an organization that provides free service. The organization keeps track of those who enter and use our services. When they enter they have to sign so we can keep a head count on all those that use our service. I am seeking a way where they can enter swipe there ID (drivers license, military id, DOD id etc.) It must be a method that only the name is retrieved and at most in connection to military their unit. no other information is needed. It needs to be able to be databased to retrieve later. What I am looking for is what simple hardware will I need. For example will a CAC reader work for multiple ID types. Also is there a free software that I can use with the ID reader to maintain the database. I am just looking for something simple to keep head count so not looking for something that cost much. It is strictly for a volunteer serves to help improve our service to those that use it. any links to free software and any hardware that may be needed would be great.
There are all kinds of solutions for your situation. The hardware ranges from less than $20.00 for a simple USB scanner, to over $500.00 for a mountable, slide-in, network ready scanner. Some of the hardware comes bundled with software. It really depends on what your needs and budget are. At a minimum, you will need to get a reader that can read the PDF417 barcode. If you get a smart-card reader, make sure it also reads PDF417 barcodes.
Q:Hi guys i am building a PC and i am wondering where the card reader is plugged into. Does it go into the USB plug or the IEEE plug etc. I don't want to fry my damage my mobo so any help will be greatly appreciated.
Most card readers will generally plug into the usb2.0 interface on the mobo. I must admit although they are likely out there, I have never come across one using IEEE (firewire) before :S Good luck ;)
Q:I have a multi-card reader, an SD card, and a 40GB PS3, can I use the card reader on a 40GB ps3? Or do I have to use a 2GB flash drive on a PS3?
PS3 recognizes almost all USB accessories including mouse and keyboard (when you are surfing the internet) and even USB hubs if you wan to add more USB ports. Therefore, it shld be able to recognize your card reader.
Q:i just bought a card reader, do you think the usb flash drive is better? im not sure.
A card reader is to insert the memory cards or sticks from devices like a digital camera. In fact when you put in the memory card then it is the same a USB drive. If you don't have a digital device with a memory card then you should just get a Flash Drive. Same thing without the reader and it fits nicely on your keychain.
Q:How would I export my footage from the camcorder onto a computer so that I can edit my footage. Do I need a card reader if the camcorder requires a memory card?
I always use a card reader with my flash camcorder and my digital cameras that take video. I find it much easier to copy/paste from the card reader. You can of course download your flash drive camcorder via USB cord.
Q:I have a Canon Rebel XTi and I haven't been able to use the chord that connects the camera to the computer in a really long time. So I bought a memory card reader which worked perfectly fine up until today. Now the card reader freezes the computer whenever I plug it in. I borrowed a friends camera cable and it won't even read that anything is connected. Any idea what the problem is?
There is generally a software cd to install on your computer. You do that? If not, the card reader should be working. Uninstall the software for that, and try to redo it!
Q:i have an sd car and i jsut want know i how can i get music thru multi card reader then transfer tat on to my phone using a sd card
1) just put ur sd card in multicard reader SD slot 2) Connect u r multi card reader to computer 3) Drag drop or copy paste the music/data u want in u r card 4) remove the reader and ur SD card from the reader. 5) Put ur sd card in the mobile, n u will have u r music.
