I am putting in an electrical outlet behind a wall and I am looking above the wall by moving a ceiling tile. After moving a ceiling tile, I found that there is a light wired behind the ceiling tiles, a place nobody would be able to see it. I can't see where to turn this on, and it is not a problem, it has just made me curious. I live in a 95+ person fraternity house if that makes any difference.

The light used to be on the finished ceiling when the structure was first built. Later a drop ceiling was added and they just left the old lights up there. They were probably controlled by the switch that you currently use to turn the troffer lights on that are mounted in the ceiling grids.

I'm not sure if lots of stores sell it, but I've always wanted something to put on the floor that would project stars and space onto my ceiling. I'm not sure what that's called or where I could buy one. Anyone have any ideas?

you can make your own. go to home depot and ask one the floor guys what is the best paint to paint a light bulb, have to be a bulb that 40 watts not to hot and the paint good for that kind of heat. go to michael's and buy some kind of star that you can use it as a mold. bye

Our bedroom has 4 recessed lights in the ceiling that form the perimeter of a 6x6 square. I would like to install a ceiling fan in the middle but it would require me to install a new wiring box. Is it possible to tap into the wiring my recessed lights run off of to run my ceiling fan? Or do i need to run all new wiring to my panel? Thanks in advance for your experiences and help.

OMG you like those?! their called flourescent lights and you can get them anywhere but lowes or home depot would be best. their easy enough to install but you would probably need a surface mount one which would look hideous. most offices have drop ceilings so the lights just drop into the grid but at your house since you probably have drywall you would have to screw a surface mount fixture right to the drywall.
