Q:I need a piece of flat sturdy plastic about 1/8 thick. Does anybody know where I can buy this? I dont want plexiglass, its too expensive.
You okorder / okorder / GOOD LUCK !!
Q:Parisals are found in hoganakkal T.Nadu.in Kavery river.
not really pls check the link below to see how why
Q:Are plastic sheets resistant to corrosion?
No, plastic sheets are not resistant to corrosion.
Q:Are plastic sheets transparent to radio waves?
No, plastic sheets are not transparent to radio waves.
Q:Can plastic sheets withstand extreme temperatures?
Yes, plastic sheets can withstand extreme temperatures to some extent. The specific temperature limits depend on the type of plastic used. Some plastics can tolerate high temperatures, while others may warp or melt at elevated temperatures. Additionally, low temperatures can cause certain plastics to become brittle and prone to cracking. Therefore, it is important to select the appropriate type of plastic sheet for the desired temperature range.
Q:im trying to make a plexiglass longboard skateboard out of plexiglass
I would recommend using a polycarbonate like Lexan or Hyzod instead of acrylic resin products like Plexiglas. They are considerably stronger, yet easier to work with. I think a 3/4 inch thickness would be lots if you went with Lexan, but at 4 feet long, any plastic sheet is going to be bouncy (Plexi will snap). You might have to edge it with something rigid to fix that. Usually anything over 1/4 inch (~6mm) is special order, but you never know, a local sign shop or glass shop might have some cutoff for you.
Q:The ink on the sheets has been there for 5 years and they have been sitting in a very hot garage so I'm sure that is the reason why it doesn't come off. I have tried nail polish remover, WD-40, bleach, soap and water, rubbing alcohol, body spray, vinegar, hair spray, and even liquid sandpaper and only the nail polish remover affected it but only very little, it just made the ink a bit more transparent but it didn't remove it completely. Is there anyway to remove the ink completely
I've had a lot of success removing permanent marker off of plastic with Staedler white erasers. Depending on how fragile the plastic is (sorry - I don't know much about trading cards!) it might be tricky. Also, if the plastic is at all rough or porous it probably won't work well either. I'm military, however, and we use permanent marker to mark laminated maps, and erasers when we need to change the markings...and this sounds like it could be a similar situation. Good luck!
Q:How do plastic sheets compare to polycarbonate sheets?
Plastic sheets and polycarbonate sheets have some similarities, but there are also significant differences between the two materials. Plastic sheets refer to a broad category of materials such as acrylic, PVC, or HDPE, while polycarbonate sheets are a specific type of plastic sheet. In terms of strength and durability, polycarbonate sheets outperform most traditional plastic sheets. Polycarbonate is known for its exceptional impact resistance, making it virtually unbreakable. On the other hand, regular plastic sheets may be more prone to cracking or breaking under stress. Another significant difference is transparency. Polycarbonate sheets are generally more transparent than most plastic sheets, allowing for clearer visibility. This trait makes them suitable for applications where optical clarity is crucial, such as in windows or protective barriers. However, plastic sheets have their own advantages. They are often more cost-effective compared to polycarbonate sheets, which can be a significant factor in certain projects or applications. Additionally, plastic sheets come in a wider range of colors and finishes, allowing for more design options. Ultimately, the choice between plastic sheets and polycarbonate sheets depends on the specific requirements of the application. If strength, impact resistance, and optical clarity are top priorities, polycarbonate sheets are the preferred choice. However, if cost, color options, or specific material properties are more important, traditional plastic sheets may be a viable alternative.
Q:Every morning I wake up and when I see it looks like there is a piece of plastic over my eyes. After a few minutes it goes away. Whats wrong??
it might be a viral infection or just really dry eyes... it really depends on the specifics of your symptoms and how long they have been occurring i would go to the doctor because its your eyes, it would be pretty bad if you woke up one day and it looked like someone but a black sheet over your eyes...
Q:I'm looking to buy some heavy duty clear plastic sheets/strips that you typically see in the grocery store that separate the cold rooms from the colder rooms. I'm looking to get some so I can hang them from my gazebo to protect the innards from the elements. No need to comment on how ugly it will look... I'm going for function not fashion. The only thing I can find are really thin but large plastic tarps, which look like they would fly away in a light breeze.
i don't flow close to the beef branch anymore ........ i'm getting all the clean vegies and end result and different needs and that i make my adverse long suffering husband cope with all the lifeless flesh........ he obliges cos he likes ingesting meat ..... if he left it as much as me he'd be ingesting an awfull lot of green vegies and salad....... ;0) peace infant ?
