Description of excavator:
Modern, hydraulic excavators come in a wide variety of sizes. The smaller ones are called mini or compact excavators. For example, Caterpillar's smallest mini-excavator weighs 2,060 pounds (930 kg) and has 13 hp; their largest model is the largest excavator available (a record previously held by the Orenstein & Koppel RH400) the CAT 6090, it weighs in excess of 2,160,510 pounds (979,990 kg), has 4500 hp and has a bucket size of around 52.0 m³ depending on bucket fitted.
Engines in hydraulic excavators usually just drive hydraulic pumps; there are usually 3 pumps: the two main pumps are for supplying oil at high pressure (up to 5000 psi) for the arms, swing motor, track motors, and accessories, and the third is a lower pressure (700 psi) pump for Pilot Control, this circuit used for the control of the spool valves, this allows for a reduced effort required when operating the controls.
The two main sections of an excavator are the undercarriage and the house. The undercarriage includes the blade (if fitted), tracks, track frame, and final drives, which have a hydraulic motor and gearing providing the drive to the individual tracks, and the house includes the operator cab, counterweight, engine, fuel and hydraulic oil tanks. The house attaches to the undercarriage by way of a center pin. High pressure oil is supplied to the tracks' hydraulic motors through a hydraulic swivel at the axis of the pin, allowing the machine to slew 360° unhindered.

For exemple pile diver, hydraulic jack hammer etc...
Q: What are the main type of excavators?

- Q:I am not sure what I want to do for my career and I am a senior in high school about to graduate. I do know that I LOVE everything to do with Latin and Greece, but Latin is sort of disappearing. So i was wondering if there were jobs that you could point me in the direction? Thanks
- Teach. I honestly cannot think of anything else. And I do research on careers almost daily. Note: I hope you are going to college. If so, make sure you do not spend too much money on your degree. It will be HARD to find any job, and the pay will be low. Also know without college, there are no jobs in this. You get to work fast food or retail. --- Additional note: I never remember having a class on latin or greek history. You might be going into a seriously tough field to find a job.
- Q:Construction units excavator access, what materials should be submitted to the supervision unit?
- The equipment entrance check list should be reported to the supervision team
- Q:My wife and I would absolutely love to have an inground swimming pool in our back yard. When looking at cost... it seems it will end up being around $30,000. When seeing how expensive it was, we decided to check into pool kits where you can install them yourself. I find myself to be a handy man and wouldn't mind the labor. How hard is it to actually install one of these pools yourself?(all answers welcomed but someone with experience in this topic preferred)THANKS!!!

- Q:Please use detail.
- Oh, it was a person. In college, shared an apartment with 3 other guys. One guy did not believe in showers or soap. The smell was soooooo bad!
- Q:I am a good mechanic and have a very good experience of dozer and crane excavator maintenance can somebody help me find a good job
- My hubby tried SMC.. its not all that good. Its just a drop shipment membership. You will owe them money when you have not made a dime. Don't do it unless you got the money to spend. At anyrate... you can try USAjobs , try America's job bank, there's a lot of construction jobs about to happen with the stimulus package hitting the states ...they will temporarily start reconstructing and repairing old bridges and streets and etc...
- Q:Im 17 years old and im looking for employment just somewhere simple that any kid in highschool would work.this is the first resume i've ever written and i was just looking for some feedback and advice for areas of improvement. basically what i want to know is if you were a hiring manager and you looked over my resume would you call me in for an interview?
- Looks way better than my resume at age 17 I tell you that. Here are some suggestions Make your experience description in bullet points similiar to your volunteer and interests. Use action verbs like initiated, lead, pursued.. words that show you are proactive. For example: Construction: - Activity 1 (construction of roofs, floor, ....) - Activity 2 (cleared forest vegetation....) - Responsiblity 1 (list if you had any) - Projects finished 1 (cleared entire section of forest, finished an entire house.. etc..) Do this for each place you have worked. Also, make sure you list your most recent experience at the top because employers will want to see them first. The lines about able to stand for hours, work well alone or with others, motivated, etc.. You can remove them and put it a cover page if you have one. Because they sound cheezy and the fact that EVERYONE says that. Most employers don't even read them. Your objective should be focused. Not bus management, or culinery arts, or retail. Pick one depending on your employer, you should focus on one. This way your resume will seem more directed at the position, rather than a generic resume that you mass produce.
- Q:My husband and I are building a new home and our septic design is for a 5 bedroom home. The excavator is calling for 500 tons of white quartz sand. 500 tons is a lot. Can anyone tell me if that is a rational amount?
- doesn't seem overly stated. sand runs about 2500lb per yard,18 yards on a truck.it all depends on the slope you have and the rise you end up with.not sure the code where your at but you will need approximately the same amount of black dirt as you need in sand possibly 36 yards less.
- Q:How long does the excavator take on the moon?
- depending on how many people you have the time may very from 30mines-2hours
- Q:please help
- Open-pit mining (as opposed to underground mining) has several advantages:- 1) Low cost of recovery - large trucks can enter the mine, get filled up with rock from a large excavator and drive away to the processing plant. 2) No need to leave stability pillars, necessary to hold up underground mine workings but which may contain valuable ore that is effectively lost to the mining company. 3) Ease of beneficiation - surface mines are usually composed of materials (oxides in the case of metalliferous mines) that are easier to handle and easier to treat in order to recover their marketable product as a result of being so close to surface. 4) Safer environment - so much less problem of rock falls, hanging wall collapse resulting in a lower injury rate than in underground mine.
