Excavators are used in many ways:
Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
Material handling
Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
Forestry work
Forestry mulching
Demolition
General grading/landscaping
Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
River dredging
Driving piles, in conjunction with a pile driver
Drilling shafts for footings and rock blasting, by use of an auger or

Hydraulic drill attachment

Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.

Q:ok here it is when you have an old horse and it passes away what do you do?do you call the police? how do you move it?what if you want it cremated?=-[ its a sad question but i need to know thank you
Some people bury or cremate the horse. Your vet should have some info on this. Other people, (depends how attached you are to this horse and how many you have room to bury) will call the dead truck. This is a service that comes and hauls your dead away (cattle, horses, etc) and I don't know roughly what the cost is. Your vet should have this number too. Lots of people just haul it out to the back 40 for coyote bait but again, it depends how attached you are to the horse. Myself, I don't mind leaving cattle out there but a horse is another story, I like to have them buried.
Q:Hi there, i just purchased a residential lot for a single family home. Back in the day it was A fill. City engineer said it was only approved for non-compressible fill(no garbage). It was then developed into a single family subdivision of 14 lots 7 years ago. I would just like to know what I should prepare myself for when they start to dig. What kind of process is it opposed to building on top of virgin soil? costly? This is probably a question for engineers, excavators, builders etc. I appreciate any advice. Thanks
Be prepared to spend a small fortune having the junk removed that was throw in there.
Q:so im building a tank style vehicle with two treads, it must carry ~300lbs and will need to be non metal. all i can think of is wood....the links should be replaceable too. if you could give me a source with tread types that would be awesome cause i couldn't find one. thanks in advance.
what about rubber treads, as used on small excavators etc
Q:How to distinguish between good and bad excavators, ah, there is nothing wrong with what
Track plateIt is important to fit a suitable crawler plate into the machine. For crawler excavators, the standard for choosing tracks is to use the narrowest tracks whenever possible.Common track types: toothed crawler plates,Flat track plateWalking speedFor crawler excavators, walking time accounts for about 1/10 of the total working time.Generally speaking, the two speed can satisfy the walking performance of the excavator.Tractive forceTraction force refers to the force produced by excavators when they walk. It depends mainly on the motor of the excavator. The two walking performance parameters show the flexibility of the excavator walking and its walking ability. It can be shown in the samples of each manufacturer.Climbing abilityClimbing ability refers to the ability of climbing, downhill, or stopping on a firm, smooth slope. Two representations: angle, percentageLifting capacityLifting capacity refers to the rated stability of lifting capacity or rated hydraulic lifting capacity of the smaller one.Rated stability lifting capacity: 75% of tipping loadRated hydraulic lifting capacity: 87% hydraulic lifting capacitySlewing speedSlewing speed is the average maximum speed that can be reached when the excavator is idling. This means that the speed of rotation is defined not only when starting, but not at the speed of braking. That is, the speed of rotation is not the speed of acceleration or deceleration. For general excavation work, when the excavator works in the range of 0 degrees to 180 degrees, the rotary motor has acceleration or deceleration, and when turning to 270 degrees to 360 degrees, the speed of rotation is stable. Therefore, in actual excavation, the speed of rotation as defined above is unrealistic. That is, the actual rotary performance required is the acceleration / deceleration indicated by available rotational torque.
Q:Can somebody tell the average diesel consumption of the following: a. Excavator CAT 330BL, b. Wheel loader / Shovel 996F, c. Grader CAT 14G H, d. Roller Compactor 10 ton DYNAPAC, e. Dump Truck 18 cu.m.
There is no average> It depends if the EG is being worked or not> And when the operator is running it is he working it to max> They use a lot of fuel> so have a lot on site for refills> Ot the job stops??
Q:Excavator first originated in that country?
From the early twentieth Century to the late 40s, excavators entered the stage of diversification of power and walking gear. In 1910, there was the first motor driven single bucket excavator. In 1912, there was a full rotary single bucket excavator driven by gasoline engines and kerosene engines. In 1916, a single bucket excavator driven by diesel generators was produced
Q:I am now looking for a job in 51job, but I can not find the line of business, I would like to ask what kind of industry is under the excavator?
This industry is called Earth and stone machinery construction industry.
Q:These guys came and tore down my 2 sheds damaged last hurricane season. They used an excavator to know them down and broke a mirror that was in there and the 3 window, I have broken glass all over the demolition site. What can I do? Try to use a shop vac? Any advice please.
Put on thick gloves and pick up as much as you can, then rake the rest up.For very small pieces, try picking them up with sticky tape or a lint roller. Then turn the soil over so that any glass leftover is buried under the ground. A shop vac might work, for some of the glass, though.
Q:How much is the tuition fee for Lan Xiang excavator?
Excavator operation class: one and a half months of the semester, learn the safe operation method and maintenance technology of excavator. Total cost: 3960 yuanExcavator integrated class: two month term, safe operation, Komatsu, Volvo, Carter, Hitachi, Kobelco, Hyundai, Daewoo Sumitomo world brand of excavator and long arm operation, dredging, hammer, dragged down the row of cars maintenance etc..
Q:Find a Dirty Jobs clip, 10 points! Mike and the Hawk from the mud mineral episode!?
when I saw the question I was like oh this is easy but when I started looking it wasn't very easy. oh well I tried for ya ;)
