Q:Hi does anyone knows how is a wheeled excavator steered? Is it a mechanical steering like other wheel loaders. Seems impossible because the excavator cab can do 180 about the undercarriage. I thought it must be hydraulically operated or skid steered, but my CAD teacher asked it to mechanically couple the wheels with the steering wheel. Haven't been able to figure out as to how to do it yet. Any suggestions?: Often times they articulate in the middle. In other words the vehicle is actually 2 half's. Each half joined in the middle,hydraulics actuating the articulation, thereby steering the vehicle.

So if you want to wait, then by all means wait. I would update your graphics card though, you don't need that much power for a graphics card of that caliber.

Q:I know aviation boatswains mates tow jets with tractors, ive heard bm's operate forklifts, cranes, etc.... im wondering if a boatswains mate could be a materials handler or excavator when they get out: BM's do all the b*?!^ work on a ship. Maybe when you're higher ranking and have all your quals.

Q:The tracks are kinda loose and I want to adjust them.: you hve a plate in the front on the outside, remove the plate and you will see a grease fitting, pump grease into the fitting until you reach desired tension. aint sure what the measurment is on it but dont get to tight or youll do more harm than good. track should droop a couple inchs i would think. good luck
