Q:Does anyone know where to find small A/C powered submersible pumps, that operate at 20-25 psi? I can only find D/C pumps for ship use.I need one for running humidifiers and misters for large terrariums
I okorder ... What you need is a pump that can produce 5 x15 = 75 gallons per min at whatever total dynamic head (thats static pressure + dynamic (water moving) pressure) .... do not buy the biggest pump as this will put out too much so bu one that fits your system. If your tubing runs are short and you are using plastic pipe dont worry too much about calculating the static pressure just add up the pressure of the spray nozzles...so in your case you need a pump that will run 75 gpm at 25 psi...The websites I gave you may have what are called pump curves that plot total dynamic head (pressure) against flow and some may also have efficiency on there as well choose the highest efficiency pump for your pressure and flow... Good luck...
Q:Leaks right under the water pumpOf my truck ford f-150
This could be a leaky gasket or the pump bearing and seal is defective. Gasket: Drain the antifreeze from your system. Remove the pump and clean both surfaces. Install a new gasket with proper compound and re install pump. You will have to top up your antifreeze properly. Defective seal/bearing Replace the water pump. Some auto parts stores will take your old pump back on exchange. the amount of money credited to you is not much but it keep the old water pump out of the landfills.
Q:It's been slowly leaking for awhile now, but today it dumped brown water out like a bucket, when I shut it off facing up hill.
It is really very simple, but get a repair manual to guide you. Only problem I had changing one was trying to align new water pump , gasket and holes all at the same time in a confined area. Here is a tip , get two long bolts and remove the heads, screw them in two mounting holes temporarily, as studs, to align the whole thing then remove them and install the correct bolts after you have secured water pump in place. Good luck
Q:I have a 2001 Nissan Frontier the head gasket is shot[i think] checked thermostat and checked for clogs, flushed system, noticed bottom of radiator is cold but top is hot, is water pump shot?does not wiggle, or did i put thermostat in backwards? Steam poors out exhaust

Q:Replaced the water pump in my 89 f150 and now I have a pretty steady leak coming out. I don't know where the leak is coming from, but its running down the lower hose and dripping off it. I've replaced the lower hose and water pump, what could be causing this?
could be anything, including loose lower radiator hose, backing plate for the waterpump(have gotten the things and the 2 bolts are loose and missing the gasket)get you a mirror and light, and start searching around it, did you do the thermostat?may have broken the housing, or pinched it.
Q:My car is overheating and i don't know why just trying to rule out as many options as possible.Things it is most likely not: blown gasket/cracked head, both replaced 2 years ago and no tell tale signs I will be doing a block test soon, thermostat replaced it and put the old one in hot water and it opened, hoses replaced with new one two years ago, no leaks pressure test a few days ago. Things yet to be ruled out The radiator being clogged or not allowing good airflow, water pump impeller failure.
if you have no fan activity, it will get hot at low speeds and at a stop position.
Q:I have a well water pump and the motor seems to just run but won't transfer water through the line, checked for leakage, etc but no signs. Even tried priming it but it does nothing. Any idea of what could be wrong or how to repair this problem?
If the captive air tank has failed you should still get some water flow. if you are not getting any flow and the pump is spinning then the pump may need to be replaced. There is also a pressure switch that may have failed but if that were the case you would have got flow unless the pump burned up. so, bottom line is this. 1) turn power off. let a tiny bit of air out of the Schroeder valve on the captive air tank. if water comes out, the tank is bad. make sure to fill the tank up to about 40psi. 2)turn power off. remove the cover of the pressure switch and clean with compressed air. move the switch back and forth. sand the contacts with emory cloth. 3) if the tank was good turn the power back on and make sure all the valves are open (even the ones you havent touched) if you are still not getting water you should probably call a plumber. most likely at this point you have a bad switch or tank and it has caused your pump to burn up. good luck
Q:All the water to my house comes from the river close by - via a 1500kw surface pump, into a large pressurised tank. If there is ever any kind of blockage in the pipe - or if it freezes ...this causes the pump to run - 'dry' - which eventually burns out the motor. I have lost 2 pumps so far because of running dry - and they are very expensive.I would like to fit some kind of automatic cut-out - that will ALWAYS stop the pump running after 15 minutes or perhaps less - as that is ALL the time it needs - if the water is flowing freely - to fill the pressurised tank. I feel sure such a thing must exist - but I do not know what it is called or where to buy one. Does anyone know of a 'switch' of this kind? And where to look for one? What could I put into google to do a search - for suppliers and prices, please?
Put an inline presure switch between the tank and pump so the pump will turn off when the presure in the line drops below a preset presure.
Q:ok so im wondering if there is a water pump out there i can buy that automatically turns on when i turn the tap on. i looking for something thats strong enough to pump enough water to more than one taps at a time i.e kitchen tap, bathroom etc.
Lots of house booster systems available. Just ask.
Q:The diving pump in the aquarium stops and stops on the goldfish
The submersible pump has been on all the time.
