The Dismantling Joints are double flanged fittings that accommodate up to 100mm (4”) longitudinal adjustment and can be locked at the required length with the tie bars supplied. Not only does this system allow for fast, easy maintenance of valves, pumps or meters, it simplifies future pipe work modifications and reduces downtime when changes need to be made.
Easy to Install
The installation is also straightforward using just a spanner and torque wrench to tighten the high tensile steel or stainless steel tie bars. With fewer tie bars than flange holes and the tie bars acting as flange jointing bolts theprocess is speeded up but still offers a secure, rigid, fully endload resistant system with a pressure rating equal to that of the flange.
The Range
A comprehensive range is available from DN40 (1½”) to DN2400 (80”) with virtually any flange drilling or pressure rating supplied, although larger sizes and custom made Dismantling Joints can be designed and built on request.

- Q:I am trying to find a good drill for drilling into small pieces of sea glass,gemstones ,resin and metal. Please recommend a good affordable drill.
- If this is the hot water tank temperature pressure relief valve drain line then by code it should be copper pipe no smaller than 3/4 inch in diameter. If you are getting hot water dripping from this line and it is connected to the TPR Valve then the valve is bad and leaking or the valve is doing its job and the water heater is malfunctioning and this is in turn a safety issue. Never cap off the outlet of a TPR valve if you do and if the water heater malfunctions, overheats or over pressurizes it could explode. This line might be your condensate drain line from your air conditioning unit. Best way to repair is to purchase elbow, two couplings and some pipe, PVC primer and PVC glue. Cut out old defective part install new. Use bleach water on mold and leave wall open a few days bleach will kill mold. Pipe and fittings should be minimum schedule 40 PVC pipe. Make sure all joints are glue joints and not compression couplings or unions. Do not install compression couplings or unions in the wall as this is against plumbing code. See link.
- Q:I have a lot of excess rope (not used for climbing anymore) that can't be used to rock climb anymore. I'm trying to figure out a way to make it into a hammock, but I can't figure out how to weave it, how to do anything with it because i don't know how. - Sorry to disappoint you, but the device a Firefighter uses to TEMPORARILY shut off or reduce a leak on a fire line IN SERVICE is a Fire Hose Jacket (See Akron Brass 772) and it is placed around the Soft Pliable fire hose and closed over it, so that the internal pressure pushes the side of the hose against the gasket inside the Rigid Fire Hose Jacket with the hose at what are, when compared to the oil well application, relatively LOW Pressures. The design of most municipal fire hoses to day is such that although these devices are still around they are not used very widely anymore. That is NOT the case with the Gulf Oil Well leak it is under EXTREME PRESSURE, that would make it virtually impossible to get a similar device in place. The problem is that the extreme pressure would be forcing any patch away from the pipe with such force that is could not be over come until you had a GREATER force. What they are attempting to do with the TWO additional wells is to provide an alternate less restrictive (EASIER) route for that oil pressure to release with a bigger volume of flow that should hpefully allow the pressure to drop at the original well, thus allowing them to deal with repairing or capping it.

- Cast iron drain pipe. Check with a plummer for proper fix. They do make fittings for cutting out damage and replacing with other product.
