Q:Hoping to be moving over in about two yearsI am a fiber artist and hand spin yarn and make hats and scarves and suchAny market for my goods there? Do you have farmer's markets or craft fairs where I can sell them?
There most certainly is a market for woolly hats, the most common is called a beanieIf you want to sell lots of them, make them in the colours of the various football teamsIn Melbourne this will be the AFL teams while you should look at the NRL teams in Sydney (although red and white for the Sydney Swans or orange, black and white for Greater Western Sydney will also sell well)You could also talk to the proprietors of ski shops about stocking hats and scarves for people heading to the snow in the winter in NSW and Victoria.
Q:I bought a new mare about 2 weeks agoShe has like 0 winter coat, i mean her coat after two weeks of increasingly cold temps is about the same was what my old mares was in the middle of summerI need to blanket her because where i live it gets below zero with the wind chill a few times a year, and today, in the middle of october, it was a high of 36 with the windchillSo she needs blanketed but idk what kind to get herShe is a 16h 13yr old thoroughbred mare who is on pasture all day and in the stall at nightThe average in my area for the winter is below freezing but it usually stays above 0would I want heavy weight or medium weight? I have never blanketed a horse before so any more info would be great!
I have the same problem! I'm 5ft and 115lbs Not fat, but my thighs don't have anything on KFC, lol (: I do these workouts i find in magazines, such as, seventeen, you can also search the web for them! They seem to be working, I've been doing them for about a month nowGood Luck!
Q:I'm so annoyed! I really want to have near perfect hairI have really dry kind of damaged hair from straightening, it is pretty longMy hair's always frizzy and has flyawaysAlso it has a slight wave to itso what kind of shampoo/conditioner and other hair products will help make my hair really nice???! Thank you so much!!!
uhm i use tresemme smooth and silky for dry damaged hair shampoo and conditioner once a weekuhm when straightening ur hair you need to use heat protection every timealso putting in leave-in conditioner a couple of hours before straightening your hair, it will help soften, shine, and thin your hairuhm right now im using Rusk thermal str8 ceramic styling toolsim not sure how much this stuff costs but i either got them on sale or they were cheap at the original sales price because i cant spend much on these things eithersogood luck and dont shampoo every nite! every other nite if you have to but thats it.
Q:its a fibre giving animal
I prefer Berber carpet
Q:I live in my house behind the garage since my sister just had a baby and they needed an extra roomI've been living back here since last december and two weeks ago I saw a bee flying aroundI sprayed it and it diedThen I saw another, killed it, then I found a dead one on my floor this morningI have no insulation in this room, how are they getting in?!?!I'm also surprised I found any considering it's really cold out and they start going underground around this time.
I would suspect there is a hive near bybest thing to do is seal any cracks, install screening and door insulation, and sweepsthe hive could even be in the attic or wallyou might consult pest control to locate the hive.
Q:Hello,I am having my rental studio apartment renovatedThe worker has made several mistakes:but one i am unsure about, if it's acceptable or not.he put the wiring of the heater between the heater and the wallusually i see the wiring above or below or beside the heaterthat is, the chord from the heater goes out to the left or right above or below and directly to the wallIn this case he put the wiring directly in the middle behind the heaterIn addition he didn't even cover the wiring-he left a gaping hole with open wiresbut even with a plastic box over it, i question if the chord which would be tightly squeezed between heater and wall for it's path to the wall and then the part where the wires are in the wall would fare well if directly stuck to heater(1500 watts-some sort of thermal heater that keeps the heat well-not ceramic but something like that)thanks for your answers.
It is not acceptable to leave out open wires, or a gaping hole to the wiresIt is also a problem if the wires are in front of high heat from the heaterThe heat will damage and can degrade the wires enough to destroy the insulationThis can lead to a short circuit, blown fuse/tripped circuit breakers, smoke, or a electrical fireIt is a bad idea to jimmy rig things to do things they are not designed to doAll reputable devices are tesed by independent labratories, well beyond regular wear and tear or usageAnd they do not fail or cause problemsbut when you jimmy rig things the testing is void You need someone who can inspect the system to see if it is safe or not Do not wait until after there is a emergency or serious problemYour life may depend on itEspecially if it catches fire when your sleeping.
Q:Whats the best wall insulation to use for and existing house that has never had any insulation in them?
Existing house suggests a couple of things which you left out of details1Is the interior just studs? 2If there is drywall and studs, it might be that even blown in from an attic/crawl space would be blocked by cross bracing between the studs Best is relative, and R values are measured in various forms and materials, IE: 1 inch foam is approxR 3 Some added details might help you get better answersDOC
Q:The room I am staying is on the 2nd floor and is very cold in the winterI live in Japan and here they dont have any central heatAll I have is a air heater, the same thing is uded for cooling in summer, in my roomThe problem is that even I heat the room it gets right away cold when I turn the heater offThe windwos are sliding windows from left to right and are very bad insulatedWould it make sense to buy some insulation rubber and install it arround the windows to preserve the heat for longerThe room is on the second floor and the room below is not heated so there is no heat coming from below that is another problem, the floar is a wood floor like typical in JapanI am living in a house so on top of me is just the addicI have 2 large sliding windows in this room so I am thinking to isolate these and then see from there if it gets betterCan anyone reccomend some good insulation technique ?
Here in America we have a few products to insulate windowsThe first is like you said buy some insulation rubber or here we have a substance like putty that you can put in all the cracks of the window but you can remove it wheneverThe second product we have here is a film like cerran wrap(clear plastic) that you put over your window which makes a seal between the plastic and windowThis stops cold drafts from coming inAlso if you can get in the attic you can add insulation over itOne thing that might make it more comfy for you is add a rugRugs and carpet usually add warmth to the roomIf your feet are warmer, your body is warmerAlso make sure that there are no cracks in the sealing Another place that warm air escapes is around light fixturesInsulate above and caulk around them to stop the air from going upOther then that I also recommend putting a thick shade on the windowClosing it at night can really add an insulating factor to the windowsHope this helps :)
