haii, i have this guitar thats quite old and im not quite sure whether to put steel strings on it. there were very thin badly worn steel strings on it when i got it, so i think its an acoustic
That's a very low-end Kay, maybe from the 60's or 70's. It has a weird mixture of steel-string and classical features that you often see in cheap imports from around that time, maybe because the factory didn't want to stock different parts for different lines. The tuners (one of which is missing) are made for steel strings. They will work with nylon but not well. The bridge is a generally classical type but appears to be bolted on and seems to have some compensation carved into the saddle, which indicates it may have been intended for steel strings. Probably it's ladder braced, which is not a great design for either type. It has a classical rosette and a steel-string pickguard. I am guessing the neck has steel reinforcement but unless there's a sticker there's no way to tell. Personally I'd put light or (preferably) extra-light steel strings on it. The short scale length will help keep the tension down. I'd keep an eye on the neck though. You could also try silk steel to be on the safe side, but the bass response will probably be lacking.
i want a good modern carbon steel (not stainless) knife. trying to keep it under 50$ also nothing to gruesome just a small pocket knife. thank you
Well, okorder /... They did make other folders in M2 steel, but the thing is those are out of production and the cost is very high. Spyderco made M4 steel folder knives, and so did Benchmade. Although, both are outside of 50$ budget. I guess Opinels are best option.
i wanna buy a sharp carbon steel sword the swords i want are a 200 layer carbon steel katana or a hand forged high carbon steel katanna or a hand sharpened sword which one would be sharper/stronger
You need to be very careful when selecting a sword. Most f the sellers are lying about their swords. If we were talking about tow 400 year old swords you could bet that the folded steel blade would be the better. Today many rip-off sellers put that in the advertisement to get people that don;t know any better to buy their sword. Many new swords that are not folded are as good or better then folded. your best bet is to buy only from a reputable seller. There are two I know sell good swords Bugei Trading and Cheness. I like cheness because the swords are reasonable in price and very well made. Expect to spend at least $220 to get anything worth buying. Cheness has a line of swords Katana that are made of spring steel. Note: carbon steel varies greatly depending on the exact steel used, it carbon content (how much carbon), and how the sword is made and tempered. Many of the rip-off swords are made of carbon steel, just low quality steel and bad workmanship. ...
Can anyone tell me what that means. I have seen it on knife blades an such. I am assuming it's a formula for the strength of the metal. who does that scale work, and please keep it simple.
440 is an AISI (American Iron and Steel Institute) material specification. It specifies the precise quantities of carbon and other elements present in the alloy. Here are the constituents of AISI 440 steel: Carbon - 0.6 to 0.75% Chromium - 16 to 18% Manganese - less than 1% Molybdenum - less than 0.75% Phosphorus - less than 0.04% Silicon - less than 1% Sulfur - less than 0.03% Iron makes up the remainder. AISI 440 is a heat-treatable, precipitation-hardening stainless steel.
The maximum tension that steel coils can withstand during uncoiling depends on various factors such as the type and thickness of the steel, the diameter and width of the coil, and the specific application. However, in general, steel coils can typically withstand tensions ranging from a few hundred pounds to several thousand pounds. It is important to consult the manufacturer's specifications or conduct specific tests to determine the exact maximum tension for a particular steel coil.
Molten steel changes to solid steel at its __________ point. Could you please fill in the blank? Thank you so much, it is greatly appreciated. I have been looking for the answer to this question for a long time, but I never understand what the websites are trying to say because I don't have that big of a vocabulary and don't know what they mean. I've seen things saying steel boiling point, steel melting point, and steel freezing point. I don't know what any of those mean, and they might be the answer. Please help me. Thank you.
Carbon 'tempers' steel, by making it harder and less prone to bending (ductility). It fits the carbon atoms into the spaces in between the crystal lattice structure of the iron atoms. Too much carbon means the steel becomes more brittle, harder to weld and thus more likely to shatter under stresses which are perpendicular (shear forces) to the crystal structure of the molecules. It also is very difficult to work, requiring very high temperatures.
Steel coils are used in the manufacturing of industrial boilers as they provide structural support and ensure the durability and strength of the boiler. These coils are often used to construct the boiler's pressure vessel, which contains the water or steam under high pressure. Additionally, steel coils are used for various components such as tubes, pipes, and flanges, which are integral to the functioning of the boiler. Overall, steel coils play a crucial role in the construction and performance of industrial boilers.
Ok so i have a certain amount of money that I want to invest in either GE or US Steel. Tickers: ge, x. GE looks like a strong co, but less risk. Whereas US Steel looks risky, but high reward. :). i am willing to take risks. Any comments?
i think you should invest in marlyn co. with protection against friends who act like hoes!!!!! charmin ultra less is more!!
