I want to build a special fort to block out the outside world like my stupid parents and my stupid teachers and my stupid friends! Prolly in my backyard or somethingI'm fifteen years old and everyone I know is freakin' gay! I'm going to build it out of wood planks my only question is what can I use to keep water and stuff out because I'm going to probably have to do my homework in there.

I weigh 215lbs, and since it's a new year, i would like to lose weightI would love to be 50 pounds lighter b4 2013Can anyone me advise?
I am the only one in the family who really cares, so I had to make recycling easy or I wouldn't get the others to do their partMy plan is simple, I have two garbage cans in the kitchen, they are in a cabinet and they are connectedOne is for garbage the other for recyclablesWhen the bin is full it is taken to the outside garbage area and is sortedI also have a paper only trash can in the den, which is where I sort the mail and pay billsI've recently added a small can with a lid for my kitchen green waste, I feen most of it to my new worm farm, Lots of fun, or I can just toss it into the grenn waste bin near the garbage canI allow my son to keep all the money from the recycling to help motivate him to sort it all, that includes items we don't get paid for like paper and some plasticsRecycle bins can be anything that works for you, they can be attractive or hiddenI just know that if you have to take a trip to the garage everytime you pour a soda you are not as likely to put it in the recycle bin.
anyone knew how many cotton pods does it take to make a shirt?
A lot more than you can get from one plantThe cotton has to be cleaned, seeds removed, spun, plyed, woven and then the shirt cut from the cloth I have sheared sheep, and washed and cleaned the woolIt is still sitting in pillow cases in my closet waiting for someday when I stop knitting from store bought yarn and sit down and do some spinningI haven't tried spinning cotton yet, it's a bit harder than wood because the staples (fibers) are a lot shorter.
I am hypoglycemic but i love sweetsWhat could i put as a substitute in my baked goods that still tastes good but wont make my sugar level go downOr what sweets can i have that wont affect me(for those of you who dont know what hypoglycemia is its low blood sugar.)
-Table sugar, corn syrup, and honey are simple carbohydratesSimple carbohydrates also occur naturally in fruits, milk, and other foodsThey are digested rapidly, and this allows glucose to be absorbed into the bloodstream quicklyTherefore, meals that are high in simple carbohydrates can contribute to reactive hypoglycemiaConcentrated sweets such as candy, table sugar, soft drinks, cookies, cakes, and ice cream are mainly simple carbohydratesAvoid these foods unless they are made with sugar substitutes-Pasta, grains, and potatoes are complex carbohydratesFoods from animal sources contain protein, but so do legumes, nuts and seedsPeople with hypoglycemia should eat complex carbohydrates and protein for their energy needs, instead of simple carbohydrates-Choose high fiber foodsFiber is the indigestible part of plantsInsoluble fiber, such as wheat bran, does not dissolve in water.Soluble fiber delays stomach emptying, digestion, and absorption of glucose-Fats like those in whole milk, cheese, and meats should be limitedA low-fat diet has been shown to help in treating hypoglycemiaWhen selecting dairy products and meats for protein; choose lean meat, skim milk products, and eggs in moderationUse oils sparingly-Sweeteners such as sorbitol, saccharin, and aspartame do not contain sugar or calories and may be used in a hypoglycemia diet-Alcohol is high in calories and can cause hypoglycemia all by itself-Caffeine should be avoided-Body Weight: Excess weight has been shown to interfere with the body functions that regulate glucose.

I found a new home being built that has a new insulation conceptThe insulation is recycled like the stuff they typically blow into atticsOnly it has an additive added to it, so it gels up and becomes semi firm, but still remains somewhat softIt is NOT the typical foam stuff, this is differentTo install is is sprayed in between the studs and then shaved downThe builder told me this is a new installation methodI'm concerned that over time it could loose its integerityAnyone else heard of this method?
It's called celluloseit's a very green product, and does not outgas like foam insulationIt's much cheaper than fiberglass and is easier to work with, as well as has a better R value since it fills the whole studbayno airgaps.
my square is curving on the bottom how do i stop that.
if it's simply curving then you would want to create all the squares needed for you projectIf you are making a blanket then assemble the squares, this should eliminate any curling on all but the edge squaresThen if the edges still have a curl to them, you'll want to block your pieceYou can do this for things like bags as well just assemble the pieces into their different sections and block the sections before attaching the pieces togetherYou could, of course, choose to block the individual squares before assembling them if you preferWhen blocking, you have three different methods, steam blocking, cold blocking, and wet blockingWhich you choose will depend on the type of yarn you're usingFor natural fibers like wool, cotton, and linen (not angora or mohair) steam blocking works well To steam block you turn your item inside out (if it's clothing) or lay it out in the shape you want itSecure it to your ironing board or work table with rust proof pins, then hold your steam iron just above your piece and steam it thoroughlyAllow it to dry and when it's dry it will be blocked and the curling should be goneIf your project is done with thread, like a doilie, placemat or coaster then you'll want to do wet blocking If the item is washable, you will wash it with a small amount of gentle dishsoap or gentle detergent then rinse it clean WITHOUT wringing or twisting it Smooth it into shape pin it down and when it's dry it's blockedFor acrylics and other man made fibers you'll want to use cold blockingYou'll straighten your blocks or your pieces down as with the other methodsThen you'll cover your items with dampened bath towels and leave them sitWhen the bath towels are dry the piece is blocked.
