If that's out of your price range, try the Kumhos. Their Road Venture MT KL71 in that size is $668 for four plus shipping. I've had good experience with Kumhos, so don't dismiss them because they are Korean. The Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers are only $140 each ($560 for four) but they are only rated good on ice, if that's important to you. My experience with the Tire Rack is that they are knowledgeable, quick, and fair priced until you have to pay for shipping and installation. My local independent tire shop always beats or meets their price, shipped and installed. - Q:I have a 2003 Ford Focus. All of my tires are p185/65r14 - the other day i hit a bad pothole and my rim is slightly bent causing my tire to slowly and steadily deflate. I went to pull a part and got a rim that will fit my car and want to put my tire on the new rim. looking at the tire on the new rim it is p195/65r15. is there a chance that my old tire will fit on the new rim? or should i get a new tire? the tire is relatively new - only about a year old. now, if i should get a new tire, will it affect my car with one tire slightly larger than the other?thanks!
- Your not going to see much of an increase in hp from these things but should notice a little difference. Having said that I wouldn't put a header on or cat. back. The largest restriction in the exhaust system on almost all cars, that arent already high performance, is the muffler. Thats how cars are so quiet with the factory muffler. I would just change the muffler, no need to do the whole pipe unless you just want to get rid of the resonator as well; pretty sure civic has a resonator. Stock air intake is more efficient. I would run the large intake tube for it but hook it up to the original air filter box. If you put filter on end that comes with it, it looks cool but it only sucks in hot air from engine compartment. Cold/ colder air is better for performance. A KN air filter would let more air in and fit the factory air filter box. You can also look in to putting a larger throttle body on it but they are exspensive and dont really give you much hp for what they cost. would probably add some torque though. Hope this helps.

- It depends on your reference point. Personally, I would say that it lowers it. It will take less engine rpm's to go the same distance than it would if you had the oem tires on it. Others might say that it raises it. Just the same way going from a 3.55 rear end ratio to a 4.11 ratio. Are you raising it, or lowering it? Since you are talking about the ratio, I say that you are raising it. The same with the tires, the bigger tires means that you are lowering the ratio, and therefore you are lowering it.

- buy 5 qts of fluid (dextron II for gm's, mercon for all others). add the five qts to tranny. roll vehicle to the 'RUNWAY. gently REDLINE the heck out of the engine while in D position-or r if you like it backwards. with foot resting on accellerator, on the floor after about 5-10 seconds your car will launch down the runway, however, if cv axles (if equipped) are blown, you'll just hear lots of grinding. if trans is bad, you are not going anywhere soon except the mechanic's shop.

- Q:Could a tire patch (plug?) cause the tire to go out of round? I had a puncture nearly dead center in the threads; I took the tire to a local big box and had the puncture repaired. The tires were balanced and rotated. The repaired tire was placed front side passenger. At highway speeds the tire wobbles or shakes. At 300 miles I checked and noticed it was inflated to 42 PSI when 32 PSI is recommended. I had the tire rebalanced and it still shakes. There were no issues before the repair. Can repairs be removed an redone?
- If the tires were balanced at the tire shop, then the repair did not make the tire go out of round. That's the whole point of balancing, to make sure the tire is properly balanced. Something happened to your tire after leaving there.

- the tire should say the psi the tire pressure should be. go get the tire numbers and search on line. without looking at your tires myself. I would guess about 35 psi. but your tires should have some info on the tires.
