something interesting and new:)
Look beyond websites I am never bored, but when I need something to do I play a computer game (scrabble, mah jong or bridge for me), read a book or magazine, do crossword puzzles or sudoku, listen to music, watch a movie, write in a journal, play a board game, or answer questions here on yahoo answersOther options, depending on my mood might be to cook something, clean the house, go for a walk, work out, call a friend, send emails, visit someone, or even go shoppingWriting in a journal is an interesting thing to do, especially when you go back weeks or months or even years later and read what you wrote

Folks have a 2 story home with the main entrance on the 2nd floor accessed using a deck and stairway.Have thought about installing a pulley system outside where they could load groceries and other packages into a basket and then use the (electric motorized) pulley system to get the packages to the 2nd floor.Anyone know where I can find such a device??Thanks

I'm playing with Oracle virtual box and I'm just wondering which chipset I should use? What's the difference as far as performance?
I suggest you use titanum because it is lighter than steel but just as strong, this more-expensive metal is found on high-end road or cross-country mountain bikesIt flexes so well while maintaining its shape that some very high-end bikes use the metal itself as a shock absorberAs for the other materials: Carbon It tends to be brittleThe fact that metal can bend and regain its shape is what makes it lastBecause of this, carbon fiber bikes are built even stronger than neededAluminum Having come a long way from the oversized tubes of old, aluminum is now less expensive and very widely used on today's bikesIt's light, strong and stiffWith proper design it can give a solid ride for climbing, or lively handling in tight situations.

I need to build a bridge of popsicle sticks, that is 50cm in length and an arc or height thats proportionate to thatSo that's not big at all, how would I build it? Certain pattern? I'm working with the most basics of materialsRegular Elmers, and Wood Glue, with the regular sized popsicle sticksAlso this bridge will connect to desk, so theres no need for a tower to act as a foundationI know this might sound a bit confusing, but I'll attempt to clear anything up.Thanks
Bridges are machines that transfer the weight force of a load, horizontally, to the bridge support points, without deforming, excessivelyYou haven't mentioned how or if your bridge will be loaded, so it is difficult to give you general advice about how to make it able to transfer an unknown kind of load (point or distributed) to the endsAnd saying that the height is to be proportional does not tell me anythingIs there a specified proportionality factor, or can you make it as tall as you like? Are you allowed to put structure as deep as you like, under the road bed, or must all the support structure be above the road bed? An engineering problem, like this, really needs complete specifications, so you know the box you are working inside of Are you allowed to cut or alter the sticks before you glue them together? This is important if you are constructing compression joints between sticks (where one stick pushes against another)If you can cut the ends so that fit together along a line, instead of meeting at a point or overlapping, they will support a much larger force before the joint failsAnd adding small pieces of stick across that line of contact will make a much more reinforced joint- Regards, John Popelish
