- Q:I am pregnant with my second baby, and by the time of my due date my big girl would be 16months old. I hate waisting things, or buying things that i'll have to give away or sell too soon... therefore i dont know what kind of bed to buy. For my girl we bougth a convertible crib thinking that we wouldn't need to buy other bed in 10 years. We bought it at costco so is very good quality, this crib we'll use for the new baby, so we need to buy a new bed for my big girl..Would you please help me to decide what to buy?... thanks!!!
- If you intend the newborn to go straight to a crib, I'd buy a second crib as 16 months is pretty early to put a baby in a big bed. You will likely just have issues with her getting out all.the.time during transition that isn't something you want to do at the tail end of pregnancy NOR while you have a frequently waking newborn to deal with. Plus if she happens to be one of the kids that actually likes her crib, she may feel more jealous if she is moved out then it is given to the baby. Some children LOVE the big girl bed some just miss their old nest.

- Wash the sheets! For the mattress use a product called Delta Dust... unless the infestation is terrible then you will have to toss the mattress
- Q:I am considering getting my almost 3 year old a new twin-size or set of bunk beds. I'm not sure if anyone has had experience with younger children and bunk beds and if it was good/bad? Any problems going from toddler size to twin size?
- I think it depends on the children. I can't say I would put them in a toddler bed, the weight limit on most only goes up high enough for a 4 year old so that might be a waste of money. Is there room for 2 twin size beds? I can tell you this. At age 2 1/2 my oldest was sleeping in a loft type bed (like a bunk bed without the bottom bunk, it has a fort type area underneath). He's still in it at 4 1/2 and has never once fallen out or had any problems at all. It does have a tent over the top of it so that would help prevent him from falling. But, he does not move at all when he sleeps; he is a VERY deep sleeper. I have an 18 month old and there is no way he will be going in that bed until close to age 4 (at least), he moves around all night long. I think that is a big factor when considering a bunk bed for a young child.

- it would be stable in both the cases, bunks beds are reliable and strong and meant to support weight, you just need to make sure that they are made of sturdy material such as wood or wrought iron and have the capacity to take weight and all will be well! decorate the room according to the type of bed and carepting you have to make it look good

- when i first saw this question i was going to just say urban outfitters until i read the rest of your details :D so you could always save up for something from urban outfitters~thats what im doing:) maybe pbteen? i guess thats pretty expensive too:/ so i guess a good place could be target or walmart. i have found a couple i like there just browsing through all the bedding on their website
