Q:The top of this grain silo is half of a sphere. If you wanted to paint the sides and the roof, how much surface would you have to cover. Measurements are in ft round to the nearest 1ft^2 _Radius of 8 / #92; I I I I I I height of 43 I I I IPlz I really need help on this question... Im begging someone to help me Out Please!!!
do you have an equation for a sphere?
Q:Question #1If a 30-foot silo casts a 20-foot shadow, what is the approximate measure from the tip of the shadow to the top of the silo?a, 1,300 feetb, 36 feetc, 650 feetd, 13 feetQuestion #2If the measure of a central angle is 76°, then what is the measure of the arc it creates?a, 152°b, 76°c, 38°d, 19°Question #3Which regular polygon would have each of its interior angles measure 140°?a, nonagonb, heptagonc, octagond, decagon
1) 30^2+20^2=c^2 or c^2=1300 so c=sqrt 1300 or c=about 36 ft. so choice B 2) 76 deg. so choice B 3) (n-2)*180=140n so 180n-360=140n or 40n=360 or n=9 so 9 sides Choice A
Q:A friend and I are going to take a short one day trip to either Otter Creek in Columbus Indiana, or Old Silo in Mt. Sterling Kentucky. I don't know how many people out there have played both, but I figured I would give it a shot. We are in the Cincinnati area, so the drive to Otter Creek is about 75 miles, and 120 miles to Old Silo. They are both about the same cost for 36 holes. Anyone have any reasons to go to one over the other? Thanks
I can give you half an answer, anyway. Otter Creek is a great golf course! I live in Indianapolis and play a lot of statewide amateur tournaments, and Otter is so well thought of that it is our State Amateur tournament site at least every 3rd year. For 20+ years it was The State Am site every year! And the qualifying fields always swell when the tournament goes back there. It is a big, broad shouldered piece of land, framed by trees and fairway bunkers, with plenty of room to hit the ball but devilish green complexes. Make sure you play the original routing (I believe it is North and West), as there is a 3rd 9 that is OK but doesn't measure up. Don't play the absolute tip tees on holes 7 and 9, but do look back there and see where the tee boxes are. Those holes are for real from back there! While inside, go upstairs and look at all the photos from past state am champs at Otter creek. See how many you have heard of, I think you will be surprised! Have fun!
Q:All I can remember is thinking that all of that grain would now be ruined.
In Witness a guy gets buried in it.
Q:I was wondering if people attacked and destroyed your storage silo's if your goo, putty, sticks, and pebbles, would be deducted (or less) in your inventory?
when your attacked and say you have a 2mill and they scored 1mill that 1mill will come out of you so you will have 1mill left
Q:i need a job that doesn't require a lot of moving around. anybody know of one in abingdon virginia?
missile silo
Q:will people even be around much longer as weapons get even more powerful as technology advancess?
The exact number is a highly classified state secret, but best estimates by those in the know is around twelve hundred...down from more than three times that thirty years ago. They continue to lose credibility among the world's military forces as technology increasingly enables selective killing. We don't need to kill thousands of enemy soldiers when we can selectively take out just their high command. That weapon's name? Predator. You've heard of it...
Q:In all these years, aren't you surprised that a nuclear missile hasn't been launched by accident?
In the seventies there was an incident in Arkansas I think, where there was a malfunction when a crew was doing maintenance and a Minuteman fired, then shut down shortly after leaving the silo, and the missile just landed on the ground not too far away. The warhead wasn't armed, so there was no detonation. There was an incident in the fifties where a crew had an unarmed A-bomb in a plane and accidently dropped it, and it landed in the sea off the Carolina coast somewhere. They looked for it but never found it. I think I heard there was an expedition recently to see if they could track it down and retrieve it.
Q:when a earthquake hits the uk and your first thought is its a bomb are we really that terrified of the world i know iam. are we wrong to be scared should we live our life to the full or be scared
Okay, wow. It's THEIR opinion. Just because MOST people aren't into the music you like DOESN'T mean it's dead. You can like it. They can like Tokio Hotel... I have a best friend who likes both. Really People should shut the **** up about their musical opinions. No one SAYS you have to hate this band because you like that one or whatever. REALLY PEOPLE! Music is a privilege NOT a given. What if the music you know and love wasn't there? So when you ask What is the world coming to someone likes Tokio Hotel Oh Emm Gee I haave to ***** about it Think about it. Next time Shut the **** up before you post.
Q:A silo is formed from a right circular cylinder and a right circular cone. The height of the cylinder is 6ft and the overall height of the silo is 10ft. The silo has a capacity of 144 cubic feet. What is the diameter of the silo?
You are given the volume, the height of the cylinder, and the overall height. Remember the volume of a cone is: 1/3 x Hcone x Pi x r^2 and the volume of a cylinder is: Hcylider x Pi x r^2. First we have to figure out the height of the cone. We know the overall height, and the height of the cylinder. Hsilo = Hcylinde + Hcone. 10 ft = 6 ft + Hcone. Hcone = 4 ft Now we can find the diameter of the silo. Assuming the diameter(and radius) of both the cone and the cylinder are the same V = 1/3 x Hcone x Pi x r^2 + Hcylider x Pi x r^2 Plugging in all of the known values gives us: 144 ft^3 = 1/3 x 4ft x Pi x r^2 +4 ft x Pi x r^2 144 ft^3 = 4/3 x Pi x r^2 +4 ft x Pi x r^2 144 ft^3 = 16.755 x r^2 Solving for r we have r = 2.93 ft So the diameter is two times r or: D = 5.86 ft - I hope this helps!
