Packaging & Delivery of JIS Equal Angle
1. Transportation: the goods are delivered by truck from mill to loading port, the maximum quantity can be loaded is around 40MTs by each truck. If the order quantity cannot reach the full truck loaded, the transportation cost per ton will be little higher than full load.
2. With bundles and load in 20 feet/40 feet container, or by bulk cargo, also we could do as customer's request.
3. Marks:
Color mark: There will be color marking on both end of the bundle for the cargo delivered by bulk vessel. That makes it easily to distinguish at the destination port.
Tag mark: There will be tag mark tied up on the bundles. The information usually including supplier logo and name, product name, made in China, shipping marks and other information request by the customer.
If loading by container the marking is not needed, but we will prepare it as customer request.
- Q:100 x 100 x 10 equal angle steel, per meter weight?
- Angle steel is a kind of carbon structural steel for construction. It is a simple section steel, mainly used in the frame of metal component and workshop. In use, better weldability, plastic deformation and mechanical strength are required. The raw steel billet for producing angle steel is low carbon square billet, and the finished product angle iron is made by hot rolling, normalizing or hot rolling.
- Q:What are the different types of steel angles used in HVAC systems?
- There are several types of steel angles commonly used in HVAC systems, including L-shaped angles, V-shaped angles, and Z-shaped angles. These angles are used to provide structural support, reinforcement, and stability in ductwork and other HVAC components.
- Q:Are steel angles available in different alloys?
- Different alloys are available for steel angles, providing a wide range of options. Typically, steel angles are made from carbon steel, which is a versatile and common type of steel. However, specific applications may call for other alloys. For instance, stainless steel angles are made from an alloy containing chromium, offering increased resistance to corrosion. In addition, high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel angles combine carbon steel with small amounts of elements like manganese, phosphorus, or sulfur to enhance strength and durability. This variety of alloys allows for a diverse range of applications and properties to meet specific needs across various industries.
- Q:What are the different methods of impact testing for steel angles?
- To assess the toughness and resistance of steel angles, engineers and manufacturers have access to various impact testing methods. These include the Charpy V-notch test, the Izod test, and the drop weight test. The Charpy V-notch test is widely utilized and involves placing a notched specimen of the steel angle in a pendulum hammer. Upon release, the hammer swings down and strikes the specimen. The energy absorbed by the specimen before it fractures determines the material's impact toughness. Similarly, in the Izod test, a notched specimen is clamped vertically, and a pendulum hammer strikes it horizontally. The absorbed energy is then measured to evaluate the specimen's impact resistance. Finally, the drop weight test requires dropping a weight onto a supported specimen from a specific height. The impact energy is calculated based on the weight and drop height. The specimen's deformation and fracture behavior are analyzed to determine its impact toughness. These diverse impact testing methods provide engineers and manufacturers with vital insights into the ability of steel angles to endure sudden impacts or shock loads. By assessing the material's toughness and resistance, these tests aid in designing structures and selecting suitable materials for various applications.
- Q:Can steel angles be used in seismic or high-wind areas?
- Yes, steel angles can be used in seismic or high-wind areas. Steel angles are commonly used in construction for their strength and durability. They provide structural support and can withstand seismic forces and high winds when properly designed and installed. The use of steel angles in these areas is often subject to specific building codes and regulations, which ensure that the structures are capable of withstanding the forces generated by earthquakes or strong winds. Engineering analysis and design considerations must be taken into account to ensure the appropriate size, configuration, and connection details of the steel angles in order to meet the required safety standards.
- Q:How are steel angles protected against UV degradation?
- Steel angles are protected against UV degradation through the application of protective coatings, such as paint or galvanization. These coatings act as a barrier, preventing direct exposure to sunlight and thereby reducing the risk of UV degradation.
- Q:Can iron angle steel be welded with stainless steel angle steel?
- If the angle, in a cross-sectional angle welding of carbon steel plate, stainless steel angle welding a stainless steel cross sectional iron. Two cross cutting iron plate punching, 8.8 high strength screw fastening piece.Carbon steel and stainless steel welding, belong to dissimilar metal welding. Higher requirements for welding technology. Screw connections are the most economical,
- Q:Are steel angles suitable for manufacturing equipment enclosures?
- Yes, steel angles are suitable for manufacturing equipment enclosures. Steel angles provide excellent strength, durability, and stability, making them ideal for constructing sturdy enclosures to protect equipment. They are also versatile and can be easily welded or bolted together to form the desired shape and size for the enclosure. Additionally, steel angles can withstand various environmental conditions and offer protection against impacts and other potential hazards.
- Q:Can steel angles be used for column supports?
- Yes, steel angles can be used for column supports. Steel angles are commonly used in construction as they provide structural support and stability, making them suitable for column supports. They offer excellent strength and load-bearing capacity, making them a reliable choice for supporting vertical loads.
- Q:What are the safety precautions when working with steel angles?
- When working with steel angles, it is important to follow certain safety precautions to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. Here are some key safety measures to consider: 1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and a hard hat. PPE will protect you from potential hazards like flying debris, sharp edges, and falling objects. 2. Proper Handling: Use mechanical aids, such as cranes or forklifts, to lift and move heavy steel angles. Avoid manual lifting if the weight exceeds your capacity. Ensure the angles are stacked securely and avoid overloading shelves or racks. 3. Work Area Organization: Keep the work area clean and organized to prevent trips, falls, and accidents. Remove any obstructions or clutter that may hinder movement or cause accidents. Clearly mark areas where steel angles are stored or being worked on to prevent unauthorized access. 4. Inspect Tools and Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment used to work with steel angles. Ensure they are in good working condition, and if any defects are noticed, repair or replace them promptly. Avoid using damaged or faulty equipment. 5. Cutting and Grinding: When cutting or grinding steel angles, always wear appropriate eye and face protection to shield against sparks, dust, and debris. Utilize tools specifically designed for cutting and grinding steel. Ensure proper ventilation in enclosed spaces to minimize the risk of inhaling toxic fumes. 6. Proper Storage: Store steel angles in a designated area where they are not at risk of falling or causing accidents. Use racks or shelves that are suitable for supporting the weight and size of the angles. Securely stack and strap them to prevent them from toppling over. 7. Fire Safety: Steel angles can generate sparks when being cut or welded. Ensure that there are proper fire prevention measures in place, such as fire extinguishers and fire-resistant materials nearby. Keep flammable substances away from the work area. 8. Training and Awareness: Provide appropriate training to all workers involved in handling steel angles. Ensure they have a thorough understanding of the safety precautions, procedures, and emergency protocols. Encourage open communication and the reporting of any safety concerns or incidents. By adhering to these safety precautions, you can minimize the risk of accidents and create a safer working environment when handling steel angles. Always prioritize your safety and the safety of others while working with steel angles.
