Q:I made a bonfire in the woods yesterday and the fire got a bit out of hand and started to get bigger than we wanted it to. There was no water nearby but we had a fire extinguisher nearby. We used it once to put it all out and now that I'm trying to see if it still works, when I press the handle to spray, nothing comes out. I can turn it upside down while shaking it and the chemicals come pouring out slowly so I know its not empty. It is the disposable kind without the long hose nozzle at the tip. What can I do to make this work again?

It depends in what spectral range the radiation is. If it is infra-red, you will definitely feel it. However, if it is ultraviolet, you won't feel it until after it has burned you. In the x-ray, gamma ray, alpha particle range, you won't feel it untilo after the damage is done. If it is strong enough, the damage will occur quickly (hours) and you will feel radiation sickness (vomiting, vision problems, topical burns, diarrhea, etc). As little as 100 roentgens is enough to cause radiation sickness.

What would happen is that if lightning hits the glass, the glass will literally explode because of the superheated temperatures of the lightning.the very high heat, which can reach 50,000 F, doesn't just make glass melt. Q:I live in a basement suite and right in front of the kitchen there are 2 smoke alarms that are both wired into the building. Neither one is a Carbon Monoxide Alarm. I am just wondering if anyone has any clue as to why someone would put 2 smoke alarms within 1-2 inches of the other. (and they both go off over the tiniest bit of smoke or steam)

sum1's system needs to have a 'host' connection open for your remote connection to log onto. if you only need access to the files, but don't need to actually remotely control the pc, the easiest way if both systems have xp is to use Microsoft VPN. Common problem. 1st coat needs a light sanding. Then apply a 2nd coat. Bubbles will form in 2nd coat also but usually (hopefully) they should disappear on drying. If not, repeat the process. (The bubbles are comming from gasses escaping from a reaction in the wood. 1st coat should stop that. If not, 2nd coat should, ect. Depends largely upon wood species. Anyway, more coats look better!
