Even if it isnt right at all, Id still be grateful for input.: This problem may be caused by low water pressure. Have you checked that your 'pressure adjusting valve' is set correctly? You'll want to locate your pressure adjusting valve that's connected to your water supply line. It can be in your basement, crawlspace or water meter box. With a wrench or pliers, you'll want to loosen its lock nut. Then with a screwdriver, turn the screw clockwise slightly. Now you're ready to test your bathroom faucet. Turn on your faucet..if you see a slight improvement, but want more pressure, then turn the screw a little bit clockwise. To reduce, turn counter clockwise. When you find the right amount of pressure, tighten the lock nut. If the problem is not low water pressure, then it may be something with your water lines. You'll want to double check all faucet lines have no bends in them and secured tightly. You'll also want to closely examine the faucet itself and make sure nothing is clogging the aerator, and its valve cartridge is not damaged. Sputtering water from a faucet can be caused by debris particles in the aerator. If there are no problems with either your water pressure, water lines, or faucet itself, you'll need to take a look at your water heater.

Q:I've got a badly clogged bathroom sink. I took out the draiin cover and I can see where the water is just standing/ draining extremely slowly. I can't reach the clog, but I was able to get a wire coat hanger into it and pull out a small bit of hair (not sure how hair even got into the sink!) but it didn't do anything to speed the draning. There could be a small bit of gravel in the drain from a few months ago as well as some bits of paper (all on accident, I'd never put anything down there!). I already tried some baking soda and vinegar but it didnt help, the vinegar just made the water level raise. The water is maybe 6 or 7 inches from the drain (not in the sink, in the pipe). What should I do? Thanks for your help :): get some lye (NaOH) from the diy store. preferrably pallets. let it sink (no pun intended) to the bottom (best with boiling water but if its already full it cant). and let it sit out for a day. if that doesnt work a plumber should come
