Q:Why should i ride the silly silo at adventureland the amusment park?
yesss!!!! Its Reallly Fun! you'll Love it! its so fast it like anti gravity(: but if you get sick easliy. it may not be a good idea, but im that way, and i did just fine!
Q:I have an old 50 to 60 foot tall silo built from concrete staves with a metal dome roof. Soemone has offer to buy it nut I don't even know its value.
sometimes, in situations such as these, it's best to ask what will you give me for it? and take whatever they will give providing they transport it. Hey it's money you didn't have before!
Q:perferably under denver airport or in a abandoned missle silo
The real question is: Would you really want to? This is one of those If you have to ask, you probably can't afford it kind of things. Anything you build would have limited resources to last for very long, i.e. clean water, food, power, etc.. So you have to HOPE that whatever disaster you are trying to ride out isn't so bad that you emerge only days, weeks or at best a few months later into a destroyed world with NO CHANCE of continuing to survive. The next question then becomes, if the disaster you are avoiding is not epic in the scale of the 2012 movie, you could likely survive above ground if you play your cards right anyway.. Look at Haiti from yesterday. Thousands and thousands may have died, but many thousands more will have survived. With all of the damage, resources will not be available locally for months or possibly years in some areas, so they will come from other countries. IF this destruction was planetary, there would be NO replacing those resources before most will starve to death. Those that died almost instantly rather than a lingering, slow death by starvation might actually be the lucky ones. So, just because you could, would you really want to?
Q:Currently I use 3 sets of plastic bird bowels that clip on to the side of their cage for the food and water for my 4 parakeets. 3 seems to work out great, as i do not want them to start getting territorial over food and begin to fight. The bowls fill with seed husks very soon and the budgies are a little too lazy to dig too far for fresh seed, and it seems that they use their water bowls for defecating in.Lately I've had to leave town for a few days at a time and wanted to upgrade to 'silos' or the gravity fed seed and waterers, so that i wouldn't worry about the keets getting hungry or running out of clean water. If i have 4 parakeets, how many sets of feeders should I get so that they will all get a chance to eat evenly? Is there some kind of crude equation for the number of feeders to the number of birds?(They are two pairs of that helps @ all)
In an emergency recently when my father was hospitalised over a few days and then he passed away...........and 300 miles away...... I had to leave suddenly with no time to make arrangements for the birds and was away for four days. I have 400 show budgies. The aviaries were easy as they are huge and I was able to put a great deal of food and water in there. I had birds in breeding cages that I generally change their seed and water daily. I put large jar feeders ( silo style ) in the cages...........three sets and three sets of water drinkers. The birds did fine with that arrangement. There shouldnt be poop going in birds water......thats usually down to your perch arrangement or choice of drinker. So be very sure it cant get fouled in any way as that will kill them. If you can start now getting them used to new feeder and drinkers do so, as some budgies dont get it and go up to the seed dispensers and try and eat the seed through the sides. Some like the seed dispensers and work it out and others dont, so you may need to have both kinds. For every budgie you have .....have one food an water source for every day you are away. That means if you have 4 birds ............4 seed dispensers and four drinkers for every day you are away.........4 times 3 days for instance is 12 seed dispensers and 12 drinkers. That covers all bases food and water wise...............the only other thing is any accidents they can have while you are gone, like getting caught up on anything. You may have to remove any toys they can get stuck on. Think of the stupidest things a budgie can do and make it safer.
Q:about vehicles? We sure couck have use a few quot;Ducksquot; or other amphib's around here during the last three hurricanes.
The old decommissioned missile bases don't belong to the government anymore. You'll have to check eBay or find something on it online elsewhere, as few people are lucky enough to have owned these underground missile facilities, let alone be willing to sell them. As for old amphibious vehicles, that's difficult too - most are broken down for scrap or parts when no longer needed.
Q:looking at g22,superfly,silo,king2.price does not matter.i play d.im open for suggestions too.
Personally, Warrior and STX never fail me. Out of your choices, I would look at King II.
Q:farm barns & silos?
yes the government hides nuclear missiles in farm barns.
Q:Someone takes over an underground titan missle complex, he instructs the president to make a statement to the American people or he will set the titan missles into launch mode. The President says he cannot not do that without him first activavting the missles from the White House. He tell the Presdient to look at his TV screen and the Pres. sees the missles coming out of the silos. THe Presdient goes to where the mad man is and makes a deal with him. The snipers are instructed to shoot the mad man and the President if they have to. This movie was in the 70's, but a very good movie. Cannot remember who played in it.
Twilight's Last Gleaming starring Burt Lancaster. I remember the end most of all where the snipers are trying to shoot, but he keeps spinning the President around. Good movie.
Q:I found this in the woods and it's pretty old. It has a concrete bottom and the roof is cone shaped. Its metal and has a door. The roof broke in a few places and its pretty rusty. On the door its very faint but i could make out EVER - NORMAN GRANARYand there was something tiny underneath that i couldn't make out. Its about 7-9 feet tall. I looked it up but couldn't find other people who have one. I found some old farm that used them. Anyone know what this is or where it came from? Not sure if this has anything to do with it but 20 feet away is an old barbed wired fence that pretty much gone and behind that is a big cage also about 7-9 ft tall with two small doors but that i can get into. It has no top
sounds like a feeder or a mini silo
Q:A silo is a storage building shaped like a cylinder with half a shpere on top. A farmer has 1000 square feet of material with which to build a silo. How do you solve S=4pi r^2+2pi r h where r is the the radius of the cylinder and h is the height of the cylinder, and S equals the surface area. substitute 1000 for S and solve for h.
substitute: 1000= 2*pi*r^2 + 2*pi*r*h isolate h: (1000-4*pi*r^2)/2*pi*r =h Simplify by dividing 2 on everything: h= (500-2*pi*r^2)/*pi*r
