Q:looking to get carpet for 1 room: Just a standard carpet will average around $3,50 a s/f installed. Of course you can do higher or lower, it all depends on the over all quality of the carpet. Most carpet comes in 12 and 15' wide rolls so you ll need extra to seam it together.So you can t go just by the 13x13 ( 169 s/f) of the room size. Q:I have carpet in the living room, it's not a big room, average size. I have a BISSELL steam cleaner, the one with the bristles, and I can empty the tank 5 times and keep going over the room and it still comes up dirty (the water) Is this normal? It's not possible to clean it until the water comes up clean is it? It is not a good idea to steam your carpets repeatedly like that. If the carpet pad becomes saturated with water, mildew and the accompanying musty smell can result. (Guess how I know this.) Your carpet pad may be dirty. There may also be dirt under your carpet pad. I'm pulling up my carpets and replacing them; they've been in the home for about 20 years and the amount of dirt underneath the carpet pad is astounding. Your water will probably never come up clear. My view on carpets is they're someting you walk on, so they may be a little dirty!

Put it in a spray bottle, half vinegar, half water, spray on stain. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then blot with paper towels. Make sure to test on another part of your carpet first, to make sure it doesn't change the colour.

Sound insulation performance has more to do with weight/mass than thickness! The heavier that you can make the floor the better. There are proprietary underlay systems on the market that you could install onto the floor but their suitability depends on what the existing construction is.

Q:I'm looking for a rug with red as the main color. It needs to be contemporary/modern with a geometric or abstract design. I've tried Target, Pier 1, Pottery Barn, Ikea, West Elm and even Walmart and neither of them have a rug that I just love. Q:What's the purpose of an excercise rug? Does it really keep your horse warmn just on rhe hindquarters? But don't horses usually heat up with work. Can it be used walk,trot canter and too jump? I just want to know the purpose of this.: I use an exercise sheet in the winter when walking out to keep my horse warm as her back is clipped. I use mine for slow work or for warming up when riding as I can remove mine whilst riding as it wraps around the saddle. Generally you wouldn't need it once you start cantering and jumping. The other reason for using one is for visibility. Mine is fluorescent yellow so I use it as high viz gear when hacking out.
