The fact that you talk about pipe bombs' demonstrates that you haven't a clue about how demolition explosives are supposed to work. Play around with setting them off remotely in a hole if you must, but don't try to work with them in the real world.

It would be entirely possible to find raccoons, snakes, etc in them too. Basically any small vermin that can scavenge will live in an abandoned silo

Q:I understand a silo is generally used for storing farm products most commonly wheat, grain, corn, or milk. But can you store other stuff in there? And how would you store milk; do you put refrigerators in there? Do you store your corn/grain/wheat after it's just been harvested, or in a box after you've fixed it up (made it flour, etc)? Also, why are silos built so tall? Would you have quot;floorsquot; along the walls, with a ladder to get to things stored higher up? And what good would that do if something was too heavy to carry up and down a ladder? Can you have a staircase that wraps around the wall like in medieval watchtowers in RPG games?Sorry for so many questions at once XD I'm really curious.: old silos were made of wood banded together with iron straps and turn buckles, or concrete, or bricks, or the clay blocks you are speaking of. Contact any brick manufacture in your area and explain what you would like. They can either supply you with them or tell you where to get them...It has been a long time since I have seen new ones though. You may have to buy them from a used brick sales place. Good luck
