Q:I work as an architectural draftsman for an architectural firm. I currently have an associated degree in drafting and design and am planning on getting a bachelors in construction engineeing technology. Would this degree be helpful in the archiectural field or should I pursue something else? (I do not have the option of getting an architecure degree)
may I suggest a job in grave yard as a real-estate excavator. If you have been working in the field and don't already know. it is obvious that you should be doing some thing else like digging graves or ditches. after all I am sure that you are waisting perfectly good natural resources in your current position How does it feel to know that your only contribution to this world is waisting AIR and Global warming
Q:I have to make 50 acres of forest movable. I also have to dig a few ponds. I have plenty of time to do this. Here is the tricky bit.1. The job is in Belize (my own land).2. The trees tend to be 1' in diameter up to 3'.So, I need a fairly big excavator to push over the bigger trees, but if this presents a shipping expense nightmare my money could be better spent digging out the largest stumps with a smaller machine, assuming a smaller machine can push over most of the trees up to say 18quot; in diameter.I want to sell the machine when my job is finished and would maybe have to ship it back to the US to have a chance of finding a buyer.

Q:Does anyone agree with me that the Loch Ness Monster was real at one time but died. The bones were buried under the sediment and could be found. If you have evidence to prove or disprove my theory please explain or provide a link.
best i have heard so far (not counting the theory of it not being real)
Q:We have a mini excavator and it's not being used much at all and we could use some extra money. I'm considering loaning it out for a price. Iquot;m curious if anyone has any experience in this. I'm guessing I'd need some sort of insurance in case it comes back broken. I'd need them to sign a contract. The excavator doesn't have a title, so how do I protect it from being stolen? Any thoughts or advice on this sort of business. What to think of before starting something like this.
I had a commercial carpet cleaner I was thinking about doing the same thing with and with all the same problems and thoughts your are mentioning. They are saying you ought to be able to rent it for about 5 % of the cost of the thing per day. So I should be able to rent my $800 cleaner for about $40 per day. My though was to not just rent it to anyone, just to people I know or who are from a solid referral. People who are doing contracting work might be really hard on the equipment, but a local home owner would really be able to use it and maybe not beat it up too much. If you were getting $40 or $50 per rental, that would not be too bad of money for equipment not being used. I would talk it up with people you know, and maybe even go with the machine when you rent it. You are there, they are using your machine for 2 hours, you advise and collect the money, they do the work. Might work? meljr

Q:ive always been fascinated with machines like excavators and back hoes. what would an excavator make per year? im talking someone who does excavations for houses foundations, grading, landscaping, etc?
The average salary for excavator jobs is $32,000. Average excavator salaries can vary greatly due to company, location, industry, experience and benefits. A heavy equipment operator typically makes in the range of $28,000 to $35,000. Cheers.
Q:Hey everybody... Looking to build an underground house of sorts. Always wanted to tackle a project like this. In Arkansas, what's a ballpark cost of having somebody dig a hole in the ground... 12 foot deep, 40X40 ft across? No transporting soil, just put it all in a pile nearby. Thanks in advance!
u need a front loader. call a excavator for estimates in ur area.
Q:Why do excavators use such complicated drive motors ?
Actually, the drive system is relatively simple. You have a single engine running a hydraulic pump, and two hydrostatic drive motors on the track system that propel the machine. Beyond that you have two control handles that are tied into the main hydraulic valves with either electronic controls or pilot hydraulics that open and close valves to move the hoe. There are a lot of hoses, but the system itself is really pretty simple in design once you understand it.
Q:how to measure the capacity that can be carried by an excavator bucket?
Buckets come as sizes, like a two yard bucket, etc. That's the capacity in volume. To convert that to weight, you need an average weight of your product by volume, like 25 pounds per cubic foot. Then it's just math: Two cubic yards at 27 cubic feet per cubic yard times 25 pounds per cubic foot is 1,350 pounds per bucket full.
Q:I would like to demolish a small house and garage on my property and want to rent a excavator for the day. Is this something I could do myself? I live in Ma.
ask the people that rent the excavator, they should know.
