If on a newer system return the reader or exchange it for another one. - Hello I am assuming the card reader you have in your possession is used, for your computer. The computer card readers are used to transfer data from a card that you would put in the card reader, and then you plug your card reader into your computer. All I do with a computer card reader is I put a small card in the card reader, and then I plug the card reader into my computer. At this point, I can transfer the data from my card reader to my computer. The computer card reader should have nothing to do with money.
